I went to look for a new kitty I went, and there were 12 cats or more in each room it was terrible, there were cats that were clearly sick and there were kittens and boxes sitting there, obviously clearly sick again. I picked the two that looked the healthiest and I checked out the next day. My kittens were not eating drinking. They were throwing up worms and have diarrhea. The next morning I took them to the vet and they said that my kittens have worms and that we were going to have to treat them for that. They had worms and I suspect they also have a sickness. Do not go to the shelter if you want a happy, healthy kitten or dog.

I had my dogs taken from me Friday a week ago and the next day I went up there to take the shot records and my dogs blankets to them and I offered to go get dog food but I was told that was it necessary that they have to order their food for the dogs . But my dogs were taken because supposedly they killed another dog but it come out the other dog is very much alive and doing well but yet the county euthanized my dogs .

Found a dog on 74 today that was highly emaciated (skinny, as in would be charged for animal cruelty) , collar was tight, and had bites all to her face, and was currently or did have pups and they were done with her. Drive to the shelter to only be told that they won’t take any intakes until January, and was told to call animal control and that was about it. Called animal control and talked to a very nice man that explained that the shelter is privately owned, and not state ran, so they can deny intake animals unless it was brought in by an officer that was due to a criminal case ect. Nothing much past that they can do. Try to find the owner, post on Facebook or return her to the area I think she belong to. By all means not the animal control fault but 100% the animal shelter. Lets return a dog to a HIGHWAY or the person that is obviously starving her, and hope for the best. Just Beyond disappointed. They don’t work for the animals that need help and could potentially die, but please donate to us because we need help for the animals. Never again!

This place doesn’t even deserve a star at all. My dog who was only 8 1/2 months not even a year old was picked up deemed as a stray. I don’t have social media so I had no way of seeing her posted on Facebook . She was put down. The most sweetest girl didn’t even get a chance to live out her life. My kids cried for hours asking me why they did that to her . Kill shelters need to stop. It’s not right . These animals deserve any chance they can get at a chance for a happy life. What they do is NOT ok. And I think more people need to speak up about this . I lost my best friend, my soul dog and she didn’t deserve to die at all. Please put a stop to these kill shelters !
