Orphan Kitten Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) micro-rescue organization situated in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, specifically in Manteca, CA. Comprising a dedicated team of volunteers, we specialize in the rescue and care of kittens from the moment of birth up to 12 weeks old. BEST EXPERIENCE. My husband and I did foster to adopt in 2021 for Sylvester. We are so appreciative of foster to adopt because that way we were able to have him at 4 weeks old. I have adopted cats in the past at 10 months old when they’re very bitey and almost fully grown - not the best experience. Sylvester was such a tiny adorable kitten and we think having him that young helps so much with socialization. I would only ever adopt a cat this way from now on! He’s SUCH a good cat. The process was very easy! We paid $200 to take him home and the foster parent booked the neutering appointment for us (this was included in the $200) and once he was neutered he was officially ours. Sylvester’s online profile said he was good with other animals and already litter trained. These were 100% accurate and we’ve never had a problem. He’s the best cat I could have asked for. He plays with our Alaskan Malamute, loves to drink water from the sink, and makes me smile everyday.

This place is awesome. They really truly care for all of the animals they take in. They are very responsive on Instagram which is how I found our fur baby. The rescue posted him on Instagram as well as his story, and my kids and I fell in love with him. We reached out to the rescue on Instagram and were able to pick him up and go through the adoption process quickly and with ease. His name at adoption was Andy but my kids ended up renaming him Toasty. He’s grown up to be a majestic and handsome man of a kitty! Lol. We love love love him! He’s also befriended my Scottish Fold kitty and now they’re besties! 🥰

I got Maximus (prev Eeyore) January 06, 2024 I couldn't be more happier. He is the sweetest, funniest lil kitty and I love him and of course he is spoiled. I would definitely recommend Orphan Kitty rescue these ladies take care of these cats and love on them, so they are ready for their new owners home. Thank you for a great experience!

We have 2 maine coons but felt called to rescue a kitten since so many needed homes. We adopted from this rescue. It was a great experience and so hard not to come home with more than 1. He had his shots, fixed and chipped. Only 1 negative was the kitten had fleas so we had to keep him isolated from other cats until we got them under control. He is the biggest love and so much fun. I would definitely adopt from them. Highly recommend. The nicest people.

I had a great experience adopting with OKR! They were able to pair me with the perfect kitty and let me take her home same day. They really understand cats and cat owners and take such good care of the cats they rescue.
