Description We are one of the largest independent, all-breed, canine rescues in the DFW Metroplex. We are a 501 c(3) and are actively growing our mission. The Cody's Addison location boards dozens of canines looking for forever homes or fosters. We currently have over 200 dogs in the rescue and have placed over 7000 in loving forever homes. We adopted the best dog ever from here. The people who work and volunteer here are AMAZING. I couldn’t recommend Cody’s Friends Rescue more. Sam was the nicest human and helped us so much. Once we did the ten day home trial, Dan was checking in and answering all questions we had regularly. This organization has changed our life and we are so thankful for our pup!

Did not want to leave after seeing so many good dogs on my recent visit. These dogs are well cared for, and showered with love. The sad part is, these wonderful dogs have not found their forever home yet. If you are thinking about adding a dog to your family, go online and see if one of these sweet pups catches your eye. Who knows you might find your new best friend.

I am asking for help as I have a family dog we can no longer keep due to moving. Instead of being considerate of the situation I was told my dog would die and was guilt tripped because I can not keep our family dog. I hope no one has to feel this way because of a staff member who has no professionalism or compassion. EDIT: To the response, you need someone that can properly handle customer service issues then because the way you approached the situation was inappropriate and harmful. You telling myself and my children that our dog will die is absolutely unacceptable and should have never been said. That was intentional on your end to create emotions of guilt and should have NEVER been said. You need to respect everyone equally and professionally. Thankfully, there was a wonderful place that would take her and not kill her like this shelter would have as well. I will NEVER recommend this business especially since the employees get very defensive when they are in the wrong with their not so professionalism.

These great people at Cody's lets us adopt Mister five years ago this March 25th 2018. Even though we live in Austin TX. They checked us out and we drove up and picked up this little guy. He is in his forever home and loving it. These two pics show two of his favorite things to do and that is eat and sleep. Thank you Cody's.

We added Starfire to our family though the rescue. We are so glad we did because Starfire has been a great asset to our family. From the time we put in the application to her getting fixed was great. I would get a dog from them again.
