Thank God I found this place, simply the best place to treat my beloved dogs and even their babies. Everyone is extremely kind, polite, and treats our animals very well, with love, affection, and attention. Very different fromI am other clinics in the region. I highly recommend it, very much!

The team is very helpful and knowledgeable. The whole front desk always greets you with a smile. Finley Mickey Charmichael loves his friends at AVC.

I brought my cat in for a pet exam to get an exam check on her flea problems. The assistants were very informative. They took their time to ask me questions. When I saw the actual doctor, I felt like she was in a rush. She was polite and all, I just didn't exchange many words with her like I did her assistants. This place was a bit more expensive than some of the other veterinarian places I've called. But I had such a good experience with their Merced location that I decided to remain loyal to this company. I had a pleasant visit. This is definitely my to go veterinarian place to bring my fur babies.

I am a new cat owner and rescued a 5-week-old kitten. I was not informed that I would need to get a booster every three weeks until my cat turned 16 weeks old. I have since learned that if I had waited until my cat turned 16 weeks, she would only need one shot. I am currently unemployed and would have appreciated the option to wait and not pay $102 every three weeks for an office visit and booster. I called the office and spoke with the office manager, asking if they could work with me and only charge me for the vaccines, excluding the $74 vet visit fee. She stated it was protocol and that they could not accommodate my request. It's unfortunate that Atwater Vet could not help me resolve this matter due to protocol. I don't want the same thing to happen to new cat owners and wish I had been informed about this at my first vet appointment with my kitten. If you're are experiencing a financial hardship or simply want to save wait until your kitten is 16 weeks old to get their vaccine, it could save you $300 +.

The staff at this clinic is superb! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate about your pet. They took the time to listen to my concerns about my dog, and treated him like he was their own family. My dog does not do well in stressful situations, and they go out of their way to make sure he is comfortable and at ease. They also do not rush you in and out to care for your pet and answer all questions you may have. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a vet in the area.

Atwater Veterinary Center has been our family vet for years. Friendly, compassionate staff. Everyone is caring, knowledgeable and professional. I recently took my cat for shots. It was his first vet visit and he pooped himself in his carrier before we got there. From office staff was so kind and responsive to the situation, giving me things to clean up and assuring me that it happened all of the time. On this other visit, he got his booster shots and I am so relieved that he has had the optimal recommended care.
