Description We service the unincorporated areas of Siskiyou County for domestic animal control and sheltering. Contact your local city hall or police department if you need assistance within city limits. Animal Control’s purpose is to ensure the health and safety of the county residents and animal populations. Animal Control has endeavored to adopt a no-kill philosophy and has been considered a no-kill shelter for several years. The majority of animals entering our facility are either redeemed by owners, sent to partner rescues, or adopted into new and loving homes.

5 days in a row now kelly erickson has been non stop attacking us about our dogs, saying she’s gonna condemn our house, reporting it as a public nuisance, and now called aps making false reports all because she couldn’t “take” our dogs. this is borderline harassment at this point. she’s giving us no time to fix anything, no time to get the money and resources. i honestly think she has a problem with our bi racial and gay family because she’s not doing anything else to actually fix our neighborhoods dog issue which we have reported but she didn’t listen to us (we can only assume why🏳️🌈). this feels very targeted and i’m getting fed up. this is the second review i’ve had to make regarding this woman and nobody is doing anything about her

Kelly Erickson had the audacity to come into my house and accuse me on hiding out refusing to talk to her when i was in actuality at work 25 min away from my home and have multiple witnesses of that including camera footage. then she made a serious accusation that i was ABUSING and HITTING my 21 year old autistic cousin that lives with me. she’s very unprofessional and rude and crossed a big line. this is by far the worst experience i have ever had in this county and will be reporting her immediately! edit:: i also forget to mention they issued an aggressive warning for our dogs for “attacking live stock” without factual evidence. it was the neighbors dogs that were attacking livestock and have been getting loose and even terrorizing our dogs in OUR yard but did they wanna listen? no. they just kept up assumptions and god only knows if they’re gonna do anything to the actual party at fault. what a joke.

Never answer phones if you do get a hold of someone dont expect that the information they give you is correct. They lie pass the ball. Avoid living in siskiyou county if you can. The county does nothing to help and protect its community.

Though this is a one-person operation, the manager does a great job here. Small older facility but the manager works incredibly hard at caring for these dogs and cats. Call for appointment before coming! 😀
