My experience with this shelter was phenomenal. We tragically lost the kitty we adopted. I was devastated. Alecia was so compassionate and understanding. I was nervous to readopt, but she trusted me and made it a good and healing experience. I am so appreciative of the kindness Branson Humane Society showed me. We gave a little gray kitty a loving home. He is a great fit! If we ever decide to add more animals to our family this is the very first place I will go.

**I put in an application for little bit around 2 weeks ago when my family and I met her. We have all been absolutely devastated since the loss of our senior pup mia who recently passed of end stage liver failure. whom we had for 13 years. I told you all this when we walked in. You allowed us to meet her and saw how well she did with my kids and I, then proceeded to tell me there was 4 applications ahead of us and you were hateful to my child for touching your desk when he is only 2 years old. i have good vet references. I own my own home, and I have 6 children who would absolutely love her and spoil her rotten. I could tell from the way we were treated you had no intentions of allowing us to adopt her. Yet she is still up for adoption. The only decency I was show was from the younger staff lady who said we would be a great fit. I don't understand what kind of people refuse a decent family and allow her to sit in a tiny kennel without the affection she deserves? Did yall not like my face tattoos and pink hair or do you guys just not like children? **You made the comment back that her previous owners were elderly and she wouldn't have been a great fit for us. Except yall allowed us and our children knowing we were a large family to think we had a chance, and obviously she loves children The lady who runs this place, profiles people, and is extremely judgmental. I hope others who chose to adopt from this establishment are more welcomed and have a better experience than my family has had.

We adopted a very sweet dog from them a few weeks ago. Everybody was very nice and gave us any information we needed on the dog.

I love volunteering and helping the staff. Its so fun to walk the dogs and play with the cats. Every staff member is friendly and deeply cares about every animal getting a loving family.

1 year, I’m back. I come from Springfield, Missouri. Last year January I found one of my best friends, Arlo, who has become a part of my life. The first pic was when he was adopted, and here are some pictures and video about him recently. I’m not sure if you still remember this cute cat. But all I want to say is Thank you, Shepherd of The Hills Humane Society. Thanks for bringing an angel to my life. I will try my best to give him the best life!
