I found Poway Animal Hospital to be well organized and run. I was able to make an appointment and visit on the same day. We only had a few minutes wait once we arrived. Dr Del Rosario was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate, as were all their employees. I am glad we made the visit and will not hesitate to visit again in the future. Recommended.

There is no other place we will take our pets. Their staff is so professional and caring. From the end stages of two of our older babies, to the beginning with our newest member of the family. They inform, they listen, and provide the best care possible!

Dr Smith took care of my first dog for 18 years. I rescued an older dog and when she developed issues after oral surgery from rescue facility I wanted Dr Smith to see her but he was booked so She saw another Dr but there was no change. A couple nights later she seemed to be getting worse so when Dr Smith took the time to call and ask how she was I was thrilled. He asked me to bring her in later that day and took immediate action. She improved over night and is now healthy and happy and I look forward to having her for a few more years. Thank you Dr Smith and your professional caring staff for all that you do.

This is a great vet office in a darling area of Poway. I’ve been with them for 9 years, and they have consistently been wonderful. They very gently helped me when I put my 14 year old dog down, and were so kind during a very difficult time. Two months later, they were just as lovely as I brought my new puppy in for an exam. They send helpful notices for upcoming vaccines, and have a nice pet app to request appointments. Their staff is so friendly, helpful, and professional. There isn’t a high turnover in staff, which makes it nice to see the same friendly faces each time. I love this practice 💓🐶

We took our Bloodhound in because she was suffering terribly with itchiness from seasonal allergies. I was happy that we were able to secure an appointment at a time convenient for us, and within just a few days of my calling. I had contacted another vet and was given an appointment 3 months out! Poway Animal Hospital sent me a link to a questionnaire ahead of time, which was convenient. That way, I didn't have to fill anything out at our first appointment. They also provided me with an email address so I was able to send them all my dog's medical records and xray images ahead of time. This saved me from having to make print copies. The front office staff was friendly, and our wait time was minimal. Our dog was seen by Dr. Murphy, who was kind and attentive. She sat on the floor to examine our dog and she was very gentle. We had some lab work done and received an initial 2-week supply of Apoquel. After just 2 days we saw tremendous improvement. Dr. Murphy will call in an ongoing prescription to Costco for us. As to cost for the visit, I cannot call it a bargain, BUT our girl's quality of life is much improved and she is worth it.

We love Poway Animal Hospital. Dr. Smith performed surgery on our dog, Lucy’s ear due to a recurring hematoma. She is doing terrific. Thank you Dr. Smith for coming in on your day off to take care of her. We appreciate you more than you know. We have always had great service from the wonderful staff in the front office who are always happy to greet you and help in anyway possible, to the great doctors that take care of all the animals that go there. I always recommend the Poway Animal Hospital when someone needs care for their pet!!
