Our daughter was howling for a cat, so we ended up going through PAWS. The interview process is relatively extensive, they want to make sure you can take care of the animal you are going to adopt. Marty was wonderful to work with and is VERY knowledgeable about cats. Cats are $40 to adopt and you can purchase a cardboard carrier for $5. No problems at all with Chowder, he's a very vocal cat, talks non-stop and has gotten used to us, as we have to him. Note the cardboard carrier only lasts a few uses, Chowder lost his mind and tore a hole in the side trying to escape; however, he loves cardboard. We bought a giant cat tree for chowder but was returned because he was scared of it, but he loves his cardboard box.

The staff is beyond sweet and care so much about the animals there. Me and my partner jus adopted our first cat, Jasper, from here. You should schedule an appointment so you can visit the pets and see which is right for you

I adopted a wonderful soul, 11 years ago. A golden lab mix. We loved her more than I can express. Unfortunately we we had to say goodbye to her 1 year ago. We are so grateful to PAWS for giving us the opportunity to have her in our lives. Thanks for all you do!

Their staff/ whoever checks the emails and replies to people needs to learn how to be truthful/ at least notify people that have actively been on a waiting list. When bringing it to their attention whoever replied was beyond rude.
