Description Our mission is to provide immediate safety and care to stray, abused and abandoned animals. Once we are assured animals are medically sound, we place them in a secure, temporary, no-kill environment. This immediate placement provides all the love and comfort necessary for their well being and allows us to get to know them. Then, we look for "forever" homes that are committed to their health and happiness for the duration of their lives. When we match an animal with a caring person or family, Buddy is truly fulfilling our purpose of lighting the way home.

We adopted a lovely dog, Bear. The team at BF couldn’t have been nicer. They answered all our questions and made us comfortable. All the employees and volunteers were emotional saying goodbye but over the moon one of their dog received a forever home. It’s truly a unique and special place. I highly recommend getting a dog or cat there.

The Buddy Foundation is a great organization. Not only did we get a great dog, we met some wonderful volunteers that helped us with the match, gave great advise and followed up to see how it is going. If you are looking to adopt a dog or cat, they are experts.

I adopted two dogs from Buddy. About 5 years ago I adopted Luna. I was not expecting to adopt another dog but saw Baci (formerly Lexi) at a Buddy event. That dog wrapped her arms around me. My husband was not interested until she did the same thing to him. She was the best addition to the pack I could have asked for. The Buddy foundation is so clean and the staff is so wonderful. I love taking them there for pictures with Santa.

The Buddy foundation is a wonderful organization that deeply cares about the well being of all animals. They try their best to match the dogs and cats to their fur-ever family to insure the best outcome. They are a no kill shelter that will do anything they can to preserve the health of any animal they take in. Ran by all volunteers who have HUGE hearts, giving their time and love to make the animals feel comfortable, loved and at home. I adopted my youngest pups Opey and Lola from Buddy and I am so happy that they are a part of my family. Thank you Buddy for all you do!! Lorrie Eisenmann❤️

Wanted to update you on Bailey we adopted on March 2022. She is the most wonderful dog you could ever ask for! So good in fact, that we registered her to be a therapy dog. She went thru two courses and passed with flying colors. She will bring comfort not just to us but for many more. I wanted to thank you for all you do in saving our precious animals. And, to let you know hopefully every dog/cat adopted thru you gets the love our Bailey gets. I don't know her early life but she had a lot of fears she had to over come. She was so sad in the beginning with all the changes in her life but now she's a princess very spoiled and sleeps with us every night. I'm so thankful we were the lucky ones to adopt her. Keep up the great work you do and keep saving our pets. I must add the complaints about communication. I think it’s unfair to give 1 stars because of communication. I will agree it was difficult communicating back and forth with Lynn. I hope they work on that because it’s the one complaint most people have quoted. It did not deter me and all these people are volunteers so thank them! They do it out of love with no need for recognition. I will still go through this foundation to adopt because they truly love animals and want to make sure they are going to good people who will care for them.

After losing my precious dog Gizmo almost 2 years ago, I thought I would never find another like him. Paul Szorc at the Buddy Foundation posted a picture of Oreo ( formerly Blu) and my heart melted. I was lucky enough to get to be this little boy’s mom. The Buddy Foundation made the process easy and I could tell the love they have for these animals. Although Oreo was only there for 2 weeks, when I was leaving with him everyone wanted one last hug and were genuinely happy he was going to his new home, but were going to miss him. Thanks for all you guys do!!! Adopt don’t shop!!!🐶
