I can't thank Dr Dorian and his team enough. A neighborhood cat got hit by a car and limped home after five days missing. One of her hind legs was severely broken. I took her to two vets who suggested we remove her leg, but one vet suggested I go to Dr. Dorian if I wanted other options. The vet called Dr. Dorian, and he met with me that morning. He sat down on the floor so he could be at the cat's level to examine her, and then he told me how he could fix her leg and save it from having to be removed. The next day, she got surgery. Within a few days, she was walking, and in eight weeks, she was running and playing as if she had forgotten the whole thing. She's doing great now and lives indoors. Dr. Dorian's price was very fair, and his staff was caring and kind. We are very grateful to Dr. Dorian and his team.
My little guy had 4 procedures and the surgical team was amazing. Very responsive and prompt. The Vet is also very caring. The entire experience was smooth and everyone is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Metzler has been very attentive to my beagle baby’s needs. (Whimsy) He had a liver lobectomy, and their concerns for him (and me) were outstanding! The surgeon was amazing and his sutures look great even two days later. Not even seeping or crusty! Even post op phone calls about meds and follow up care… I have been attended to without hesitation.I highly recommend Metzler! Photo taken two days after!!
My dog Eli had bladder stones and I was referred to a hospital that estimated the cost of surgery to be around $6000. Knowing that was out of my range I told them I couldn’t do that. Fortunately, they sent me a list of more affordable places and recommended Metzler Veterinary Hospital. By the time I made an appointment and got Eli there he was in very bad health. His lab work was critical. After 2 days of IV fluids, and antibiotics, he was improved enough to have surgery. Even with that the cost was under $1000. Dr. Dorian did his surgery and it was an unusual case and ultimately found that besides the stones Eli has transitional cell carcinoma. He is on medication now and so far is a completely different dog. He eats well, plays, has gained weight and looks great. I don’t know how long this will last but I do not regret having the surgery. Dr. Dorian was very caring as was all the staff. I would highly recommend them. That was in November 2023. It is now mid April 2024 and Eli has done pretty well but this last week he again has stopped eating. I took him again yesterday and again his labs were pretty bad. Dr. Smith gave him some sub Q fluids and an anti nausea shot. I brought him home and with some coaxing finally got him to eat some cat food and he is drinking water. He is urinating and can go outside. This morning he ate some cooked hamburger meat like he really wanted it. I haven’t tried to give him any more medication, hoping we see some improvement for a while. Dr. Smith was very thorough with explanations and very kind. I appreciate the care very much.
Dr Dorian saved my Nubbins life, he had 2 urinary blockages within 36 hours. On February 13th he had a PU Surgery, they were kind and very understanding of an overly worried mama. He's healing up very well with no problems except one stitch that still hasn't dissolved that's driving him crazy. The price was very affordable compared to quotes I've heard from other PU parents. I am beyond grateful to everyone at Metzler Veterinary Hospital, without them I would have lost my boy.
My sweet boy had a bowel obstruction caused by a toy he ate. Thanks to Metzler and their reasonable prices, I didn’t have to put my dog down due to financial burden. The staff were so kind and caring, my dog got seen immediately. Everything was explained in wonderful detail and I never once worried that my good boy wasn’t going to be taken care of. His surgery was quick and they kept me posted every step of the way. I’m so grateful for the care provided and that my dog gets to say with us for a while longer.
