The dedication to these cats is amazing by Holly and her team.. of course we miss Kelaey, but the love is still there. People sometimes do not understand the overwhelming task of taking care of kittens. It is a delicate matter and when you have kittens coming in from all over Miami Beach, very difficult to do intake. There is not enough staff and they cannot afford more. Volunteers are always welcomed, especially trained volunteers. It would be wonderful if those people asking for help ca. Foster the kittens they find and/or rescue. They will be vetted by KC and adoptions will be taken care of, but space at KC is limited and during kittens season, which seems to have extended due to the longer summers, it is OVER capacity. Please be patient and kind with your actions and words. Sobe Cats/KC is awesome.
What a horrible experience i had i brought one cat that was very timid i warn her it was timid and when some1 came the cat got spoked and juml off my wife arms the lady begin yelling at me ordering to grab and i told her she needs to calm down in order for me to grab him and she wnt listen my friend had to grab hin while they argue with me i try telling them my friend has thr cat aslo theres no number to call so idk how this place function but its pretty crazy horrible servicr i hope the cat finds a happy home
I volunteer at the kittycampus and it's wonderful to see cats come from the streets sometimes in poor conditions and get them healthy with love, food, medicine and vet care. Then they get to go to a home after getting adopted. It's super rewarding to experience and see
The owners are extremely nasty! Dysfunctional & unprofessional to say the least. A very old lady with long hair wouldn’t stop harassing me in the parking lot in the back. They have a parking lot only for staff....They have removed customers from being able to park in the lot. The elderly ladies put out “cat food” in the alleys every night which attract a ton of raccoons & roaches. From an outsider looking in, this business is a beach scam and just gross!
SoBe Cats it’s not a well run organization. They signed you up as a feeder but never gives food to feed the overwhelming homeless cats. The only time they gave me food had worms in the bag and was very old. Whenever I’ve asked for help they’ve turned me down. They have a couple of people named Rafael and Elza that got very angry because I dared to find a home for two very adoptable cats. They rather have them on the street raining, cold, traffic etc than to find loving forever homes for them. The lady that used to finance their operation couldn’t understand and withdrew their food fund. Like leaches they went to ask Mary Garcia for money, don’t know what storyline they told her but she bought the food for them. I don’t know how a person refuses to find good forever homes for these animals. Strange beasts those three. Rafael is always asking for money for food for himself and Elza is the nastiest woman you wouldn’t like to meet she’s fought almost everyone and goes around opening closed holes on buildings, they were closed in case that the building would use a carp. That cats wouldn’t be trapped but not anymore. I can’t think of anything nice to say about SoBe. Since the lady doesn’t fund Elza for food she has been coming around like inspecting everything. When I fell sick and asked for her help even giving her food she turned me down. What is her business coming around to inspect? We need feeders and everyone is welcome to help with the cats but without conflict or control. I do it to help the cats that’s all. Yesterday morning Elza decided to be my friend. Today she was in the mood to argue and I don’t care to argue with anyone so I left her and continued feeding on Byron 74-75. And the alley behind which is the end of my route. If anyone comes to help please come in peace 🌹And lastly I’m not having problems with my neighbors. I’m having problems with you for being such livers and not following through on Holly’s promises of the one way door and cruelty flyers.
I sent in an application for two very sweet bonded pair of cats. They are not well run as the woman who was contacting me was all the way in Canada. I filled out all the application requirements , texted the foster who seemed delighted and tried to set up a call. I am aware that people are busy but if im the only one reaching out and trying to make this happen obviously the fosters or whomever do not care enough to place the cats. It was even mentioned to me by the foster she would rather keep the cats herself , and I got an off vibe like she hoped I wouldn't go through with it. Along with that there was a deposit needed on top of actually adopting the cats which was not explicitly stated outright I just thought it would be a base price. All in all it made me have a bad experience trying to adopt, I wanted two cats and now I feel like im giving up on them, just because people dont know how to properly execute, communicate and timeline for two cats to be adopted. I get wanting to ensure safety but I was ready the day I put in my application to put down money, have the necessary things they needed, and to pick them up and its been a month and I barely have heard anything back.
