Description Sound Veterinary Hospital was established in January 2020 by Dr. Blythe Hayes. Since then, the hospital has grown to a two doctor practice with the addition of Dr. Jennifer Moore. Sound Veterinary Hospital is dedicated to providing quality patient care and excellent customer service.

Love this Animal clinic. Brought my male kitty to get fixed. Dropped him off at 8am. He was ready to go home at 2:30pm. He did very well after he came home. The clinic did a great job taking care of all his needs. He got his shots updated. His nails clipped. He also got an id chip that was registered for me. I checked it online and it works great. Has all my information if he gets away and is found and scanned. Very happy with their service.

We're here on vacation for 4 weeks in South Nags Head. My sisters 15 year old poodle, Bailey, wasn't feeling well. Sound Veterinary Hospital was recommended to us. We would like to thank Dr. Bell, Betsy, Heather and anyone we may have missed for taking such good care of him. All turned out well and we're back to our vacation. If you need any vet care for your fur friend while on vacation or live here, highly recommend them. Was treated like they had seen Bailey on a regular basis and was in touch with his vet back in Pa. Thank you again. He's napping... lol

On vacation my 15yo dog passed of natural causes. Unfortunately we had to find a place to take her. The staff were amazing and so caring. If we lived in the area this would be where we would take our fur babies. Thank you for all your kindness.

We were here visiting for the week with our pups and today on our last day, an hour before we were supposed to check out of our airbnb, we realized our corgi had developed a hot spot! We called Sound Veterinary Hospital right away after our vet back home advised they were not able to prescribe anything without first seeing him. Sound Veterinary Hospital was so friendly and helpful. They said to bring him in and they would fit him in between their other appointments. They ended up having to sedate him because he does not tolerate vet visits. They shaved his neck and treated him quickly, and also trimmed his nails while he was under. The entire visit with medication to take home was only $233! Actually more affordable then our vet back home! If you need a vet in the OBX, I HIGHLY recommend Sound Veterinary Hospital. We are so thankful for them!

I'm so very grateful & appreciative to have this so very caring Sound Veterinary Hospital, here on the OBX of NC!! Nags Head, NC. The doctors and entire staff here are TOP NOTCH, and just wonderful!! You can tell that they ALL care so much for our furry kiddos!! And they all really like their jobs there!! It's just so evident in there care giving and in all their activities!! Special shout out to Dr Hayes, who is just so thorough and caring, and takes the time to explain everything to you! I am very appreciative of you Dr. Hayes!! Thank you for taking such special care of all my babies! 🐾💖🐾

Wonderful staff, fair pricing. The level of care is outstanding, and my cats seem calmer here than any other vet they’ve visited. I’m so glad I found them through the SPCA spay program.
