Description We are a SMALL, volunteer-based CAT only rescue: no dogs, no shelter, no clinic, no vet services and do NOT assist with trapping or fixing animals. DO NOT SHOW UP AT OUR ADDRESS AS NO ONE WILL BE THERE. We adopt out the cats we rescue in our area. Adoption events at Loop Petco (Kissimmee) and Kissimmee PetSmart 12-4 pm Saturdays only. We occasionally hold events at Lee Vista Petco. See our Facebook page for all events. Visit our website for info. We are full & cannot take in surrenders. We always take our own returns. How does one effectively say thank you for helping heal a heart? When my Lilo passed away, it was harder then when I lost my Grandmother. Enter Sheila and Lisa.. We went to Spay the Strays looking to adopt a new member of our family. After making sure we were suitable and deserving of pet ownership, we got to meet our new boy, my new pal, my bubs, my Duke Togo!!! This is the single best adoption for cats in central Florida. You can tell from moment one that these folks are laser focused of the well being and love of felines. If you are a true cat person, responsible and ready. please.. please please go to Spay the Strays, ask for Lisa and allow a cat to pick you just like Duke did to me. Thank you Lisa, Thank you Sheila!!! I will love you both forever for introducing me to my new pal!!!!

I am so in love with my new family members. They paired me up perfectly after vetting me and hearing my wants with my kitties!I absolutely love that they look out for the safety of the kitties and they don't just unload these animals. There are sickos who use other " rescues" to get their dog bait. This place requires me to peove that i am good for the kitties as well they are good for me. Me kitties are perfect for me! Thank you STS!! I love that the overhead is minimal and the money is for the animals. No CEOs making millions . This is the place to go for new kitties !

We just adopted our beautiful kitten this week from Spay the Strays and couldn’t be happier. Our baby is the sweetest, cuddliest, kindest kitten I’ve ever seen. We had an amazing experience from the initial phone call with Anita to our home visit with Maria, everything went perfectly. We had another kitten in mind but Maria suggested a different kitty based on our needs and lifestyle, and she was spot on. Our kitten is absolutely perfect. He loves his doggy big sister already. You can tell the folks here really care about the animals and love what they do. 10/10 highly recommend! ❤️

Best experience! They really love what they do and it shows in the adoption process and more importantly in the cats. Anita, who runs the organization, is so responsive & helpful and truly cares about the homes the kitties will go to and the quality of life they will have in their forever homes. Eugenia and her husband were so helpful and caring in delivering our new adoptees and came back to administer their final medication. We couldn’t be more in love with our perfect, healthy baby boys! They make our house a home. THANK YOU! 💕

Our experience with Spay the Strays was absolutely fantastic. We now have the two most amazing cats and have fallen in love. The cat's foster parents, Rob and Wendy, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and give us all the information we needed to make the adoption a success. They are wonderful parents to all their foster cats and you can tell they love each and every one of them. Spay the Strays provided us with plenty of guides and orientation videos, medical information for the cats, and even some adorable photos of when they were kittens. The cats also came up to date with their vaccines and flea treatment, and they were spayed/neutered. The foster parents were happy to provide us with some Vet recommendations as well -- And all this for a very reasonable donation fee. I can't thank everyone who works with Spay the Strays enough. Y'all are making the world a better place for our feline friends.
