I don’t often give reviews but I will leave a 5 star review and a lengthy reason why. I have had 3 wonderful dogs and brought all 3 to Cameron Animal Hospital. The first two were always seen and treated with Dr. Cameron who was beyond amazing! My last baby Ivy who we had to say goodbye to on Monday was also treated extremely well even after Dr.Cameron. Dr. Miller was caring and compassionate, she didn’t push us to make any decisions and wasn’t focused on money or any unnecessary costs. I would like to thank the entire staff who have all been so great to us and our babies, always friendly, caring and supportive. I don’t think our family can go through another heartbreak but if by chance we do happen to have a change of heart, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Cameron Animal Hospital! Thank You all very much :)

Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Everyone here seems to truly care for the pets that come in. Dr. Houston is great with our dog. We’ve been coming here for a few years now and we have always received great care from Dr. Houston and the rest of the staff. Highly recommend Cameron Animal hospital!

My name is Brian Knaus and had brought my 2 dogs to see Dr. Houston for a number of years. My dog Bridget had a large mass on her side directly under the skin which Houston deemed likely a lipoma and did not suggest that it be biopsied. I took Bridget to another vet yesterday to look at the mass and the vet recommended strongly that it be removed regardless, but that it be biopsied first to determine how and who should do the surgery. Just got the results of the biopsy and it is a cancerous growth (soft tissue sarcoma). Because of Houston’s ineptitude as a vet, Bridget had this cancerous growth continue slowly growing for over 8 months. I can’t put into words how disgusted and amazed I am at Houston’s incompetence as a vet.

Let me tell you about my experience. My cat got very sick. Did not eat for 3 days, no bowel movement, and lethargic. I called my vet Dr. Houston to see the cat. I was told that she was busy operating and could not see my cat. So instead I had to go to an urgent care that day and spend over 1k to find out no diagnosis yet. So the next day I make an appt to go see her and get the remaining work up bc the cat still had not eaten or pooped. A truck tipped over on the highway and I would have been 40 minutes late. I was told that she could not see my sick animal, and that there was nothing they could do bc they don’t accept late appointments. What is the point of having a vet if they won’t see your animal when that animal is sick. I had to call over 16 vets to find one that would see my cat who had not eaten in now 4 days. Wayne animal hospital took my cat in right away, and they were amazing. My cat has pancreatitis and now we can treat her accordingly. What is the point of a vet is they refuse your sick animal. Dr. Houston and company treated me very poorly and refused to make any accommodations to see my sick pet. I am a doctor myself, and if a patient comes in late, I have never refused them. I just suppose that same courtesy is not extended by every healthcare professional. Due your due diligence when picking a vet. And read the reviews because now in retrospect I wish I had. I have never reviewed anything in my life and won’t ever again. But when I feel like one of my loved ones is treated poorly, I want others to know so that they aren’t ever in that same situation.

This was our first visit to Cameron 🐕 Animal Hospital; 🏥 🐈from start to finish, the Veterinary Staff was very professional with that added touch of small town feel that bigger clinics lack; in retrospect they treated us like Family, Dr. Houston 👍🏼and Staff? You'll be seeing us again for our next visit

Disrespectful, a situation happened outside of the business when I went in to let them know i was there to get my cat i was rudely talked to, i asked not to be spoken to Disrespectfully and stepped outside to deal with the issue of racism with the police and a arrogant driver, one of the nurses called the vet and lied. When i realized i was a little rised from the issue outside i went back inside and apologized and the nurse continued to be rude and nasty, she even got nasty with the police officer which was recorded, now i am banned from being there cause of my race and her Disrespect. After my cat is treated i will be going elsewhere with my business. They do not uphold the kindness they used to when dr cameron was head doctor there, my family was going there long before I was born and this will be the last of my business.
