My family loves VCA Morris Plains Animal Hospital, and most importantly so do our dogs! Our furry family members are eager to greet and associate with any staff member, and their team is always just as excited to receive them. In addition to well care check-ups and monthly grooming appointments, VCA Morris Plains has a safe boarding facility that provides peace of mind to any dog owner when they need to leave their pet for an extended time. One of my dogs is extremely difficult to deal with, and the staff here is very patient. They even have specific people with whom he has bonded that they assign to him when he is there. This practice deserves every star of our five star rating!

We have been coming here for many years now and Dr. Powell has always taken incredible care of the cats. He is kind, patient, and extremely accommodating. I also appreciated the front desk assisting me locating my missing prescription cat food order by contacting VCA customer support on my behalf and working with them for a resolution. They then went above and beyond by ensuring I had enough food to hold my cats over for the next few days while I wait for my order to arrive! Thank you very much as always! 🙂

We’ve been bringing Hunter to VCA Morris Plains since we rescued him 7 years ago. We have been very happy with the care he receives. We just brought him for his annual checkup and Dr. Powell was wonderful, giving him a very thorough exam, asking lots of good questions and carefully listening to our questions & concerns. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. We’ve boarded Hunter there as well and he loves the staff. Thank you for taking such great care of our pup.

Bentley’s visit was great. The appointment was on time and the team was very happy and lots of smiles. Truly love their jobs. Dr Powell is always great. Bentley always feels comfortable when seeing Dr Powell. Bentley is back to relaxing in the sun.

I came in to have my cousin's dog leg checked out because she's been limping on and off with varying severity for the past month or 2 and it was my first time taking a pet to a vet ever. I didn't realize that she would be difficult to manage once at the vet and she even growled. They told me that I should be the one to put the muzzle on her even though I never done that before either. Ultimately, the vet had her walk around the floor and couldn't examine her thoroughly. At the end the visit was less than 30 minutes and they still charged me an exorbitant visit fee despite not doing anything. I was shocked they didn't offer to have her come back another time at no additional cost, attempted to put the muzzle on her for me, etc. or mention the coupon I later found online about a first examination from new clients being FREE. Because I am not a dog owner myself, I truly trusted that these folks would be professional and helpful since I clearly lacked knowledge and was honestly doing the best I could to make sure my beloved family pet was ok. I felt like my lack of knowledge was taken advantage of and was scammed. --------------------- Update: The manager called me and gave me a refund. More importantly, she took my concerns seriously and received my feedback well on how the staff can do better. Also good learning experience for myself too! Thank you VCA!
