Description Animal Medical Center has been a part of the Auburn community since its doors opened in the early 1980s. Originally founded by Dr. Rich Jackson, the veterinary clinic has grown into a full-service animal hospital with nine veterinarians and a skilled team of technicians and support staff.

We used Animal Medical Center back in 2017 when we had an emergency on a Sunday with a chainsaw and our crazy Queensland Healer. We never forgot the dedication of that Doctor who came in on her day off to treat our beloved pet. Our current vet retired and we have struggled for the last year to find another vet to take his place. We had another emergency with a torn dewclaw on our younger Queensland who is quite a handful and we feared that our current vet couldn't handle her. We recalled Animal Medical Center and decided to try them out. We are thrilled at the compassionate and patient Dr Thomas who came to our rescue. Dottie was a rescue pup who had been treated poorly and Dr Thomas sat on the floor with her for quite awhile unafraid of her snarling and barking. She took Dottie in and we were surprised that she called us back in less than 15 minutes and stated Dottie took care of the dewclaw by herself. They could have charged us extra but didn't and now we have a new vet office and the confidence that we will be treated with kindness and respect, not something the current vet could do. Thank you so very much for your loving care we are so happy to have found you!!!

We really appreciate Dr. Kelsey. First off she's a fellow Golden lover. Her approach is gentle, geared to the individual dog's level of comfort/stress. She's very thorough and systematic with her exam, and clearly outlines all the options for treatment, leaving decisions up to the owner but with realistic recommendations.

The staff is always very friendly, professional and attentive. The wait is never long and the setting is comfortable. We have received excellent care for our animals here and continue to go back.

This place is the BEST! Words cannot describe how grateful I am for the doctors and staff. My 16 year old chihuahua had terrible dental infection/issues and needed emergency teeth removal. The doctor showed such grace and mercy for us and our situation. She truly cares about the animals health and wellbeing more than the money. I’ve been to several veterinary clinics and no one would ever consider helping us without several thousand dollars up front. She went above and beyond while working with our budget and saved our precious pup. Any surgery or procedure is risky when it comes to a 16 year old 4 pound puppy but she did amazing and he is now a healthy happy pup and even acts years younger zooming around the house like a young pup. I would recommend this veterinary clinic to all my family and friends. They are the best!!

Finally a vet that's just honest and not trying to get us for every penny! The staff were very friendly, and Dr. Moreno was very helpful with preparing my cat for a dental procedure. She didn't try to upsell me on other unnecessary procedures and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be keeping Animal Medical Center as our veterinarian!

They were able to see my dog on short notice, and were extremely thorough. They listened to me, which is unusual these days, and understood what already had been done at a previous vet, and built on that instead of starting over. Great care, great communication, would recommend for sure.
