We recently adopted Lucy (formerly Marnie) from Pet Rescue by Judy and couldn't be happier with the experience. The process of adoption was straightforward and well-organized. The staff took the time to understand our lifestyle, our current dog's disposition/size, and preferences to ensure they found the perfect match for us. They were incredibly knowledgeable about each dog's personality, background, and needs, which helped us feel confident in our decision. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, and it was evident that the dogs were well-cared for and loved. I appreciated that the rescue had taken the time to provide any necessary medical care and behavioral training before allowing the dogs to be adopted. Lucy has brought so much joy and love into our lives. She's not just a pet, but a cherished member of our family. I'm grateful to the rescue organization for giving her a second chance and for helping us find our perfect furry companion. Her big brother, Bandit, is also loving his new best friend. If you're considering adding a pet to your family, I highly recommend adopting from Pet Rescue by Judy. Not only will you be giving a deserving animal a loving home, but you'll also be supporting a wonderful organization dedicated to saving lives and promoting animal welfare. We’ve had a lot of success through the years in finding the perfect companions at Pet Rescue by Judy. We adopted Massey, Casey, Lily, Fred, and now Maggie (formerly Salinas) from Judy. Judy helped find just the right pup to compliment the others, mostly by having us bring the dog we wanted to find a new friend for. By doing it that way, she’s able to see how their temperaments, energy levels, and personalities match up. She’s never picked wrong! Pet Rescue by Judy is a wonderful asset to the community.

When we had to say goodbye to our 11yr. old mastiff in January, we spent several months grieving and wondering what our pet life would look like in the future. We decided to attend a local dog event in Clermont recently in an attempt to cheer up. As we walked through the event, we came across a small tent with two dogs and a little sign that said Pet Rescue by Judy. We saw this small dog that was friendly, happy, and well mannered in such a busy environment. We met handler Rebecca and her brother-in-law and spent time speaking with them about our recent loss and how we may be looking for another furry friend. She told us about this little guy and asked if we wanted to take him for a walk. We spent time with him and left, then came back to spend more time with him. Rebecca was very compassionate and knowledgeable. We decided that this little guy was the one for our family, and we asked to put in an application right then. We expected a week processing time at minimum, but Rebecca spoke directly with Judy, and we were verified that day, so to bring home our little guy. We have had Cooper for several weeks and are fully in love with our new family member. He is training well, very smart, and the most well-mannered puppy we've experienced. We are so thankful to Judy for taking in Coopers' mom and helping her through the labor process. We are so glad that we decided to go to the park that day. Judy and her team truly care about their rescue animals, and it shows in how they work with them, as one navigates the adopting process. Thank you all so much for helping us bring joy back into our home. 100% of the best experience.

Everyone at PRBJ truly cares about each and every fur baby the have. It didn't take long to find my baby and get him home. I highly recommend adopting a rescue from Judy!!

I have adopted three beautiful cats from Pet Rescue by Judy and cannot say enough about how wonderful this organization is. They care so much about the welfare of the animals in their care so they do really screen who they allow to adopt - and they should! Their primary goal to to find the best match for these animals to insure a safe, loving and permanent home. Their facilities are amazing. This is not animal services which allows anyone to walk in and walk out with a dog or cat, no vet checks, no references, no questions asked. PRBJ is the best and they have served the community for over 30 years.

Upon meeting Judy I realize that she is a very intelligent and compassionate person. The pets that were caged in the entrance way were all healthy looking their cages were clean and the building smells fine. She is conveniently located next to the Sanford dog park please keep her in mind if you have donations as she runs strictly on that and out of her own bank account. She has a paid staff but she could definitely use some volunteers if anybody out there is interested.. we need more. Compassionate individuals like her..
