Description What is a cat cafe? A cat café is a warm and inviting space where you can come to play, relax and rejuvenate, and maybe fall in love with the next cat in your life. We love helping animals and making people smile. So, we created a beautiful, first-of-its kind space to house homeless cats and get them adopted, as well as bring awareness and education about cats on the Island. Cat Cafe Maui has a comfy and fun layout at the central Queen Ka’ahumanu Center for humans and our rescue cats to come together to play and learn about each other. All the cats at the Cat Café Maui are available for adoption through a partnership with Maui Humane Society. Our store offers human treats and kitty-themed merchandise for sale.

We visited the Cat Cafe when we first arrived in Maui since we had hours before we could check into our accommodations. It was a quick 10-minute drive from the airport. We greatly enjoyed our hour-long visit with the cats. The kittens were quite playful and the older cats were enjoying all the love and pets. The staff was very friendly too. It was a wonderful experience to kick-start our vacation. One thing to note is that you need to wear clean socks before entering. We ended up purchasing cute cat socks while there so we could enter. I would highly recommend visiting the Cat Cafe if you love cats and cuteness!

This was the first of many trips to Cat Café Maui. We stopped by on vacation just to pet some cute kitties and it was something fun the whole family could do. * I strongly suggest making sure you book ahead of time online, they are quite popular.* They partner with Maui Humane Society trying to help them find their forever homes, even if you aren't looking for a new furry companion stop by and help them socialize. We ended up there 3 times and adopted 2 to beautiful, sweet cats, awesome cats. They have everything you would need to adopt both locally or if you plan on flying your new friend back home.  Even They have many different activities you can do such as movie nights, art nights, etc. Also they have a super awesome program where you can volunteer to fly a cat back to the mainland if they need a ride to their new home. They set you up with everything you need and pay for it as well. As someone who just flew back with 2 cats and a kid, I can tell you it wasn't as difficult as one would think. I cannot recommend stopping in here enough, the only thing better than the staff was of course the cats. They are literally angels here! I added a few photos of the kitties because why are you reading this if you don’t love cats?

Had an excellent time with the purr babies. Got big biscuits from Lilikoi and Jules, purrs from Ivy, Pia, and Tiramasu. Sophie was super chill and just wanted to lay near you. My favorite by far was Yesenia! She will make an excellent companion to anyone that needs some kitty lovins! Was lucky and was able to walk in without appointment but was advised that appointments are highly recommended. Perfect way to spend nearly an hour on a rainy weekend day!

Stressed? Bored? In need of love? Visit Cat Cafe Maui to play with kittens for 50 minutes! It’s definitely worth the price, just remember to bring socks if you don’t want to end up buying a pair (they have cute options though). If you fall in love with any, you can adopt them! They’re ALL rescues! 😻 My only feedback for the owner and staff is that I have noticed the smell getting worse over the visits I’ve made in the year they’ve been open. I hope you’ll look into fixing it before it gets too much worse! I’d hate for potential adopters to lose interest because they think cats will make their home smell like this cafe. 😬 UPDATE! I just went back today and there was absolutely no smell! It was great! What you changed definitely worked. Thanks for replying to my review to point that out!

Clean, peaceful, happy, healthy cats. I wish the visit was not limited by time but maybe by number of visitors instead. Would love to attend some of their events like Movie Night

This place was so cute! I loved playing and loving on all the little kitties here. If you’re a cat lover and are in Maui, definitely stop in here!
