I’ve been begging for the last several years for help. They were coming out and not even making reports. The neighbors dogs have chased my children, killed my chickens, attacked my dogs. I’ve talked to the animal control. Begged my neighbors as well. Still no help, over 20 calls in, I’m so tired of this. I was told by the last officer to “just shoot the dogs” it shouldn’t be my responsibility to do something like that. They are supposed to be here for help and there’s been none. I don’t know what to do anymore. My family can’t keep living like this. My children can’t be outside without fear of being attacked. This is insanity!

The kennels are cement, cold, dark, like a dungeon would be. They typically only keep 22 dogs around at a time. If you have a stray dog come to your home, they don't want to pick it up. They have a small adoption event on Thursdays at TSC, with max three dogs, volunteers are there with the dogs and a Kennel attendant. They do have an excellent TNR program for cats. It's sad the funding for this AC is so pitifully low. Blame out County Commissioners for that.

I adopted a new best dog friend yesterday and 2 cats a couple of months ago. Everyone at the shelter was professional and kind. Also can't beat the prices! All my kids were cared for and were in perfect health. Would adopt again

My husband and I Can’t Thank Cleveland County Animal Shelter enough for all they do to help protect all of the animals that come too their Shelter. They are all totally Awesome people that works there. With so much love and compassion. I’m so proud to say we are part of this community. I've called several times to get help for some dogs I know are not being fed. They still have not helped them to this day when I ride by they are just starving. You can see every bone in their bodies. It's private property or I would feed them myself. As for the animal shelter.. I don't know what they do all day. I see the drivers out riding everywhere but can't check on a few dogs and maybe save their lives. I don't understand this place. Never answers phones it takes days to get through and get no help for these poor dogs.

Me and my wife have been wanting to adopt a cat. We went to the shelter and they said they took the cats to petsmart today. We drove all the way to petsmart and they said they haven't had cats for a couple of days.
