Amazing place! Found my special four legged soulmate and they made it so easy to happen! Lovely staff, very clean facilities, top tier care of all animals and over the top perfect veterinarians on duty. They helped me find my perfect fit and have a great place to play with them outside. Found my perfect family dog and that wouldn’t have been able to happen without their help! Highly recommended to adopt over shop any day! A new furry friend awaits you and this is definitely the place to go!

I just want to say that I got the best cat ever from OBX SPCA about 7 years ago. Nesta is the most sweet, smart and respectful kitty cat with a good amount of cattitude to keep things a little fun. Definitely the best companion and then best 50$ ever spent. 😻

Bella has made it safely to Lake Tahoe. Thank you, Leanne, for helping to convince me that Bella belongs with General and I. She has recovered well from surgery.

We went to foster Queenie, but fell in love and are adopting her! She's such a beautiful little soul, and so loving. Leann and the staff are GREAT! I wouldn't think of going anywhere else for a fur baby.

We did two day Fosters (9am - 4:30pm) with the same cutie (Winnie) and the way she reacted when we dropped her back off clearly shows everyone at this shelter cares and loves the animals. It’s clean, everyone is super friendly and helpful. They have soooo many adorable animals! Winnie was the freaking cutest and sweetest little pit. She’s very cuddly and just a big potato. lol She’ll have one small burst of energy then sleep all day. For being a stray that was used for breeding and being 5 years old, she is more well behaved than most of my friend’s dogs that they’ve had forever. She didn’t bark one time! We went out to eat for lunch and all she wanted were belly rubs from the other patrons and some chicken and rice. Lol Everyone kept saying how sweet she was. She had zero accidents in the house, understood no when she was doing something she wasn’t supposed to. We wish we could take her home but we live out of state and our lives don’t allow for a dog right now but if it did, a dog like Winnie is exactly what I’d want. Highly recommend doing a day foster if you don’t have the time to have a dog full time. You’ll probably end up getting more love than you can give that dog. I sure know we did!!

The staff and volunteers here are so nice! The facility has always been immaculately clean when we've visited. We usually stop by to drop off donations and then play with the kitties. I can't say enough wonderful things. Please consider adopting your next family member, you won't be disappointed and it will mean everything to a homeless pet. ♥️
