You will see my review for the vet I placed directly for him, he did great. I don't want to leave a bad review for the hospital, since they did a great job too. I just want to note that it was kind of a strange experience. I am not sure if they just went through some issues, maybe layoffs from covid? This place is empty, and at first I thought I might be in the wrong place, since there wasn't a car to be seen. It was just a vet tech doing reception and the Dr in the back. I can see how it might be tough to get in to see them and there might be complaints about short staff. But they did a great job, and I'd rather give my money to an independent Vet than to a chain group like a lot of the vets popping up.

Porter Animal Hospital has been taking care of my family’s pets since the early 2000s and has never once disappointed. Dr. Elmer and Ryan are not only top notch veterinary professionals but truly wonderful human beings. They are the definition of a small family owned practice and every time I go I remember why I prefer that to the big corporate vets. If you know what goes on behind the scenes at a veterinary hospital, you would know that running it with two people is no easy task. They have been there for us from the adoption of a new puppy all the way to saying goodbye to longtime family members and everything in between. Thank you, PAH for everything you’ve done for our animals!

Dr. Elmer is a very thorough, caring vet. He devotes time to yout pet's exam, and exudes a quiet calm. Even the most reactive animal will feel the difference in this stress free atmosphere. It is obvious he and his staff care greatly for their patients.

These people are the absolute best they saved my life while they helped a little tiny baby rabbit just the most beautiful little angel. This poor baby bunny a very small baby. And most of its skin was missing from it's back . Completely to the muscle n bone. Horrific injury! I just asked please help him and bam ... The had him wissed away n comfortable n beyond in moments of laying eyes in him. I am so eternally grateful for this vet . I truly was beside myself almost hysterical... Thank you vet ppl . You are straight heros in my book

Dr. Elmer and his staff are great and take good care of your pets. If there was one thing I could change about the practice, it would be their hours, but if you're able to work around the schedule, you won't be disappointed with the service you will receive.

We moved here 3 months ago and we yet have any friends lol we still do t have doctors here in porter much less our furbabies . When Farrah got hurt I was sad and scared I’ve had her for 13 years I do not even know how to put Into words how special they made my baby’s euthanasia experience . Loosing her and my Mom in the same week I have been so broken. Dr Phil and his staff handled my baby so well he took his time allowing me to take the time I needed with her prior to saying Goodbye. That has made it easier to cope with her loss because she had a beautiful death . They sent us a hand written card following her beautiful urn and paw mold that I will forever cherish . It gave us so much support to cope with Farrah’s Loss . So Doctor phil a Ryan and Kim (staff) ty for being Angels and God bless you . You have given us so much comfort and support I Cry a lot for her but when I see her urn and paw and your card and read the rainbow at the bridge letter I feel so much peace Again Thank you so much Farrah Reyes parents Judy and Roel Reyes Value you so much !
