If I could give this place less than a one star I would lied about my husband calling saying that he didn’t tell him that it was a momma dog and two puppies and then tried to pretty much intimidate us because we still had a dekalb county tag we just moved to Jackson county called us as we were leaving asking us whose car we were driving which isn’t any of his business.

They do a really good job taking care of dogs, and working with rescue groups to find them forever homes. I was just there to donate dog food. I toured the kennel area, and it was really clean and made comfortable for the dogs. Great job!

They had my sons dog who had ran off with 2 others. They had taken such good care of him and was more than helpful with my work schedule and helping me load him up. Great folks there! Thank you!

These people do not do their job. They were called twice on the same person. The first time they came out, they did nothing.They just looked at the dogs. The second time they came out and removed the dogs only to return them less than 24 hours later. The dogs are emaciated to the point you can feel their backbone. They are left without food or water. One is on a chain and can barely move. The other one is a puppy in a cage. Neither dog is allowed away from their prison.These are sweet dogs but they are miserable. They are wallowing in their own feces. I do not understand how the animal shelter could return these sweet babies to such a monster nor can my 13 year old daughter. Apparently she has more sense than these people.

They emailed me when my dog turned up at the shelter within a day of finding him. Microchipping a pet finally paid off! The staff were quick to get in touch and my boy was taken care of during his brief stay. The staff were concerned for his well-being and we were all thankful he was safe. A huge thank you to the staff at Scottsboro Animal Control!

I went there to donate hundreds of bark box toys and other dog supplies because this is in my community. Unfortunately there were 3 trucks there, no one up front when I walked in, and for 10 mins no one came to the front. So i took everything to the Huntsville Humane Society
