The best! Been traveling 1 hr each way, first for my birds, and now for my guinea pig, for over 25 years! Caring, compassionate, friendly, and expert care! You will not be disappointed, imho! They meet my needs, answer my questions, address my concerns, and provide excellent care for my pets!

Above and beyond pet care, medical advice, and customer service! I will drive over an hour to take any pet I care about here, they go beyond any very professionals I’ve experienced to research and stay up to date about rare and new advances and techniques for my pets and give the time and effort I would give them. I’ve felt trust and confidence in each doctor I’ve had here and cannot recommend any clinic more highly- i bring my bearded dragon, conure, kitten, and dogs here and thoroughly suggest you bring any little loved ones as well

My husband and I recently lost our cockatiel that we had for 26years. It definitely was a hard time for my husband and I however, the staff at the Niles Animal Hospital were so friendly helpful and understanding of the situation. They took their time to help us with everything. I know that they are very organized in regards to people making appointments or asking any questions in regards to what to do in situations. Highly recommended location!

Found an injured robin overnight near my house, it was bleeding from a wing and couldn't fly. Called an emergency hospital in the city and told me they would euthanize. Found other wildlife organizations that would take her in but were too far for me to drive. I called Niles Animal Hospital because I saw on their website that they partnered with Flint Creek Rehabilitation. They were super nice over the phone and confirmed I could the bird there so I took the 30 min drive with my 9 year old daughter who was extremely worried about it. When I arrived, they took the bird from me and i was asked to fill out a form. After I filled out a form I was told a nurse/doctor would come out to talk to me. A young lady came and quickly said to me "when you're done filling that out, you can leave". I was a bit confused so I double checked expecting an update, the girl at the desk said yeah you can leave now, we can't tell you anything because we are now in possession of the bird. This place made me feel like I did something wrong. All the time and energy spent to try and and help the injured bird and this place didn't even have the decency to say thanks to me or my daughter for bringing the bird in or even giving me the peace of mind the bird was OK. Never again will I go to this place for anything or recommend friends or family to it. I should've just drove the extra hour to take it to the Rehab place myself.

When I found a stray kitten under my porch, this was the only vet in the area that would see him with little to no notice. I was extremely appreciative of that. I was expecting longer wait time because it’s a vet, and working with animals for most of my life I understand that things happen. What I was not prepared for was how condescending and rude Dr. Cho was…. I couldn’t even get a word out with out him cutting me off, often answering questions without letting me finish *every* statement. It’s very rare for me to call out a person at their job on an online form. I feel this needs to be addressed. I felt like Dr. Cho didn’t care about me or my cat and was not even willing to listen to what I was/ was not comfortable with (ie: feeding my pet Hills/ Blue Buffalo). I’ve worked under a an animal nutritionist for the majority of my adult life and feel it is valid, as an educated professional, to make these decisions for my animal. HOWEVER…. Dr. Cho’s vet technician Molly went above and beyond. She even stayed with my kitten so he wasn’t alone and stayed behind for a very long time to answer all of my questions. She is a great addition to the team. Additionally, Dr Friedman is a beast. I *love* to see such a young, successful and knowledgeable person be so caring and considerate. I had absolutely no negative thoughts after leaving the exam with my two cats and felt my animals were in excellent care. I’m really satisfied with switching doctors. I don’t post this to be rude, but it’s just not a great look for such a progressive establishment to have a condescending male doctor on the team. If he was talking to me like that, it really worries me with how he treats his staff.

Best avian doctors in the country hands down! Dr Sakas, may he rest in peace, was my cockatoo’s primary doctor. Although we miss him, he has left behind a team of VERY talented and knowledgeable doctors and nurses to treat and care for your furry/feathery pets. Niles Animal Hospital also has access to a compounder to make medications for your pets, which is a very valuable resource. I am forever grateful for all they do. Thank you Niles Animal Hospital!
