Description "Bryan Animal Center cares for and tries to find homes for stray animals who are brought in by animal control or by good samaritans from within the city limits of Bryan."
Extremely kind and great staff!! They went above and beyond with the dog I adopted and helped a ton with our meet and greet. I am so so happy to have found them. Thank you!! Picture of Silas (McQueen) settling in!
First off thank you so much to Alyssa, she was an amazing help through the whole process. We adopted our puppy Quinn, and she was healthy and happy when we got her. They gave us a lot of coupons and free offering from dog care places in town. And Alyssa answered all the questions we had. Thank y’all so much!
My son went there last week! couldn't get in. A girl with a walkie-talkie must have worked there had long hair said nothing to him and walked straight by .. when he tried to enter. Could have been closed but that was rude. What time care you open for business . Thanks
Absolutely do not go here no matter what. Staff are very aggressive and rude. The large plus huge lady at the front is extremely snappy and rude and talks to you in such a belittling it is unbelievable. Do not take any stray animals here nor adopt any from here the service from these staff is so horrendous especially the large huge plus size lady at the front with glasses. I hope management looks into her actions but go anywhere else if you can please.
We adopted our pupper here about a month ago. I was very sure that I wanted to adopt a dog but wasn’t sure what our personality fit would be. They took the time to walk me through multiple details and explain the process as well as arranged multiple meetings for me as they saw I was trying to find the right personality fit both for me and the pup we bring home. On adoption day, they were very flexible and adjusted to our schedule to make sure the puppy had a stress free ride home and we could get everything ready on time. Thank you!
Negative stars - Do not take a stray animal here! My experience with Bryan Animal Center has left me deeply disheartened and reminds me how cruel people are. I brought in a stray cat with the hope of giving it a chance at finding a loving home. However, instead of providing the cat with the promised one-week acclimation period to increase its chances of adoption, the shelter staff decided to euthanize it prematurely - without contacting me which I asked them to do. What's more distressing is the lack of empathy and professionalism demonstrated by the staff during my interaction with them. Their rude and dismissive attitude towards my concerns was utterly unacceptable. It seems to me these people don't want to do their job. As someone who entrusted the shelter to care for the stray cat I brought in, I am appalled by their disregard for animal welfare and their failure to adhere to their own protocols. Bryan Animal Center needs to reevaluate their practices and prioritize the well-being of the animals they claim to serve. Until significant changes are made, I cannot in good conscience recommend this shelter to anyone seeking to adopt or surrender an animal.
