I have adopted all 3 of my current besties from Aggieland Humane! The pets who are brought in to their care are lucky to have such dedicated caretakers. Go adopt your new best friend!
On August 14th 2024 we brought our cat for neutering. We did it with a voucher that Bryan Animal Center gave us. The operation was done in a mobile trailer near Aggieland Human Society. I have no complaints about the operation, but a week later we noticed that our cat got fleas during the operation. He is indoor cat and doesn’t go outside, the Aggieland Human Society trailer was the only place he visited. This became a big problem for us that we still cannot cope with. There were a lot of animals at the operation and I do not know what the sanitary standards are inside the trailer. This made our life terribly difficult for the entire past and following month.
I absolutely love this shelter. I adopted our dog butter back in November and we love him! The shelter is so amazing and does everything they can for these animals!
Long story short I had to return a kitten I adopted here because he tested FeLV positive days after adoption and we have an FeLV negative cat in our household. The lady with the curly ponytail in the office was extremely passive aggressive throughout the process. I understand it’s awful to return a pet and feel extremely guilty about that, but it would have been nice to not be treated rudely about bringing him back as that was the best situation for his health. The rest of the staff was extremely kind.
I’m needing an adult-or-senior dog whose size is smallish>medium. I prefer females, but would accept a male. Trying to avoid aggressive breeds, such as Pit Bulls, Chows, Rottweilers, etc, although I’ve met some loving ones.) The manager of the apt where I live has a letter stating that I’m supposed to have an ESA. I check your website regularly and know about your free adoption Friday.
A wonderful, wonderful bunch of people helping our furry friends. We adopted our sweet little boxer mix from them. She’s a member of the family now!!
