Best adoption experience ever! The young people that run this place go far out of their way to accommodate you and your needs, and take above par care of their four pawed charges. If you need a pet in the area this is definitely the place to go. Pets should never be bought, and these young women make sure you leave their premises with your lifelong companion well nudged into your heart.

To the volunteer who let us know about “Dapper Dan” having been there the longest out of all the kitties- thank you! Because then we knew we had to give him a forever home. We weren’t even shopping for a new cat, we were there helping our daughter pick one out (which she did and she loves, loves Willow!) but oh so glad we adopted Dan. He has brought so much joy and we love how curious he is and just such a great addition to our family. Thank you!

I have adopted all 3 of my current besties from Aggieland Humane! The pets who are brought in to their care are lucky to have such dedicated caretakers. Go adopt your new best friend!

My friend went into adopt a cat she put a hold on and they told her that the cat was already adopted. They called her last minute the day before thanksgiving and said that she needed to pick the cat up by 6pm or the hold would be taken off. She wasn’t worried because the next time they were opened was Saturday at 12. When we went we were told that the cat had already been adopted on Wednesday night, so they broke the rules of the hold. Very disappointed because my friend had a bond with the cat and was upset when her cat was taken without her knowledge.

On August 14th 2024 we brought our cat for neutering. We did it with a voucher that Bryan Animal Center gave us. The operation was done in a mobile trailer near Aggieland Human Society. I have no complaints about the operation, but a week later we noticed that our cat got fleas during the operation. He is indoor cat and doesn’t go outside, the Aggieland Human Society trailer was the only place he visited. This became a big problem for us that we still cannot cope with. There were a lot of animals at the operation and I do not know what the sanitary standards are inside the trailer. This made our life terribly difficult for the entire past and following month.

I absolutely love this shelter. I adopted our dog butter back in November and we love him! The shelter is so amazing and does everything they can for these animals!
