I had a fantastic adoption experience with Godbey Creek Canine Rescue. My partner and I recently adopted a second dog for our current pet and she has been such a wonderful addition to our family. The staff at the rescue center is so encouraging and helpful. The rescue center is a fantastic facility; the staff certainly cares about the health and care of all dogs! I highly recommend adopting a dog through their organization!

Godbey Creek Canine Rescue did a wonderful job of finding a home for a senior dog we had taken in from the shelter. They were very communicative about his vetting and posted him multiple times on social media. We knew a senior dog might be more difficult to get adopted, but they didn't give up on him, and he found an amazing home. We are forever grateful to GCCR for their willingness to help our sweet senior boy, and we look forward to fostering for them again in the future!

We were looking for a big brother for our dog Mia after our other dog had sadly passed away at the age of 14. Since we are also a multi-cat household, we were afraid that finding the right dog would not be easy for us. But then we luckily found Godbey Creek Canine Rescue and Mariam told us about 4 year old yellow Labrador Duke whose Mum had passed away. Sweet Duke was exactly as Mariam had told us and he is absolutely the perfect dog for us. He gets along so well with Mia AND our cats and we are just so grateful that Mariam matched us with him. The facility is very nice and clean and there is so much land for the doggies to run and play. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Lucia did the meet and greet with us and she was amazing! We took a walk with the two dogs to introduce them to each other and then they could run free in one of the pastures. The “Foster to Adopt” process is also a really wonderful idea as there is no guarantee that the new dog will get along with the cats. We are all the happier that it worked out so wonderfully! We highly recommend Godbey Creek Canine Rescue if you are looking for a new fur-baby. You can feel and see that they love all their dogs and give them all the care they need and that they are genuinely committed to finding the right family for the dogs! We are so grateful and happy with sweet Duke! Thanks so much again, especially to Mariam and Lucia!

Love this organization! They had an amazing facility and set up. It’s also the cleanest rescue I’ve ever been to. The dogs are obviously very loved and well cared for. I was happy to see them all in such a great environment. Staff was so helpful and kind through the adoption process. Absolutely love our newest family member! Will definitely get my next rescue from here.
