I foster and THS makes the process seamless. Everyone has been professional and friendly. When you foster, you're able to provide a safe, loving space for animals to heal, socialize, and receive love. THS provides toys, food, litter, crates, litter boxes, medicine, and veterinary care, or whatever your foster needs. I encourage people to foster, it's rewarding.

My boyfriend and I adopted our little babygirl from Toledo Humane Society and we love her. They have the best service and they are really friendly.

Just adopted a dog named Viking. He was a cruelty case and only 9 months old. He was held for over a month to recover from parasites, flea and fly bites plus hair loss. He came in feral as he was neglected with 3 other dogs. I'm happy to say he is rehabilitated! He is loving, listens and is enjoying his new life! I'm grateful for this place. Unfortunately, they need MORE staffing and could use donations. The staff are busting their butts by doing an excellent job and I respect them immensely for the stress they are ALWAYS under. So Viking is now Willie and it's like he's been here FUREVER:)

I got my new baby girl from here , they were very nice staff wise. Friendly and informative... I did however arrive kind of late so that was on my bed, but even so the accommodated me well and let me look at the dogs that I wanted needless to say I ended up taking home my new fur baby. I know they said she was a stray but upon getting her home she seemed very intelligent wise as in knowing how to sit, use the lead to go potty and she loves to do cute little thing with her paw like she's holding my hand. The best thing about all of this was that she was free, and fully vaccinated and neutered and taken care of/ looked over by a professional vet. I don't know if this was because it was during the month of December because of Christmas but when I had asked how much to adopt they told me that until they hit a hundred dogs they were free I think my baby girl was 57 maybe out of 100. Again I'm not sure if this is all the time thing or just a Christmas type thing but I was fully planning on having to pay to adopt and it was a good experience I will say the only negative thing that I did have a problem with is that you only get 5 minutes per dog, which when ur trying to decide which pup is the best fit for you is a little short, but I took my chances and now I'm glad I did. I will say the animals there I'm sure all need some training once bringing them home. They are in cages and with only so few workers and so many animals I'm sure it's hard for each dog to get the time her/she needs. So keep that in mind when choosing ur friend! If you do not have the time , or Patience to work with them id suggest maybe waiting until you do . Oh! Also they even gave me a bag with dog food a treat a toy and an absolutely adorable outfit for her to wear lol even though she's so big now she grew out of it ! But that's a good thing I'd say :) so I definitely recommend if u have the time to dedicate to an animal.

I would literally die of shock if this place ever did anything to help me they don’t return phone calls. They don’t return emails. They do nothing. I don’t know one person that they’ve helped. I don’t know where all these animals are coming from, but they have their shelter I call and they just keep telling me to email the intake. I email them I get no answer. I call I get no answer. And their animal cruelty division is a joke they need to do better. I’ve literally been emailing the intake department for a month and a half and I get nothing. I’ve left messages. I get nothing.

I couldn't be more happy that I chose to get my pet from the Toledo humane society. Everyone who works there and volunteers there really does have a love for animals. The process was simple my Bruce has made a wonderful addition to our family. If you're looking for a pet I would highly recommend visiting Toledo humane society.
