Description Our mission is to rescue and nurture companion animals with the mission of finding them safe and happy adoptive homes. We strive to create community awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering to avoid overpopulation and reduce the community euthanasia rate.
Back in 2021 my mom and me both wanted a cat but our house we used to rent in Milpitas didn’t allow pets, but after some thinking and researching we decided he would be a ESA cat (Emotional Support Animal) which then we would not be kicked out the house. So we started looking and we found this cute 4 yr old orange and white tabby named Perko but no one wanted him bc he was FIV+ so no one knew how to treat and take care of him with the medical condition he had. But luckily my mom used to be a vet tech when she was younger (she’s now a RN Case Manager at Stanford hospital) so she knew how to take care of FIV. So we talked it over with the family and they agreed so we went to the Animal Rescue of Tracy and we met Marco (which he named himself after the game of Marco Polo and I had said Marco he say “meow” almost as he was saying “polo!” So we stuck with it because he responded to it) anyways he is the sweetest little thing. He doesn’t scratch, bite,or hiss. He loves cuddling,he loves pets and sunlight, and definitely sinks. I’ll put some photos of him but he is a bit sweetheart!<3
We came across a stray cat at a restaurant and we're concerned they'd get hurt. It was a Sunday, everywhere closed, and the cat would not allow us to approach to help. We're from Canada and are familiar with how bc spca and rescues here work but not in CA. I reached out to both rescues that showed on Google to let them know. The next day Sharon had replied and let me know they checked the area out with no luck but would keep an eye out. Very appreciative that both places replied to let me know they'd look and keep an eye out. As cat parents and animal lovers we appreciate that, especially having volunteered for a rescue and working in the vet field I know how overworked and busy this job is! THANK YOU XO ps pic of found cat below outside the salvadoran restaurant in Tracy.
Very friendly and professional staff. They made my husband and I feel welcome and impressed with their knowledge on the kittens we were looking at. We finally decided to take home an adorable young male kitten. I'm so happy with our little white and orange tabby. I definitely recommend coming here to pick up beautiful little fur babies.
I recently adopted an adorable pup we named Dixie from this organization. These people are so kind, my first fur baby (Lola) loved Lena who was helping with the home visit so much and Julie the President of the rescue was so easy to work with and very kind. I will actually be volunteering. I love what they do to protect these precious animals, so donating my time is the least I could do to repay them for making my grandma happy again. Below are pictures of my grandma and Dixie having a mommy daughter relationship and a beautiful picture from our Adoption Day!
I have a question. I found a really cute puppy on Sunday that looked abandoned. He's a young guy, will they take in young dogs? I'm a truck driver and I can't hang on to him with my hours but I wanted to get him to a proper shelter. I just knew he needed to be fed and given a night of comfort so he's in my garage till I can take him somewhere. Please lmk I need to get him somewhere by Thursday before I get back on the road
I got my cat, Marshmallow, from here. He is chill, but sometimes feisty (in a good way). I do want to foster and have fun with new cats for a bit!
