My dog Layla had a stoke in August 2023 and was pretty much a vegetable. dead body weight. I took her to an ER Clinic in the West/South Loop. After several test, they wanted to put her down. I declined. I decided to visit her regular Vet with Dr. Jay. He did some magic, with special medication, physical therapy, and lots of LOVE. After several months, Layla is back on her feet again, 80% functional. AMAZING. I'm soooo glad I didn't put her down. Thank you Dr. Jay and your staff for all of your Love and support.
We love Dr. J and so do our boys. We have a boxer with some special needs who is also reative to othet dogs and Dr. J is so patient and books our appointments early so there isn't overlap of patients in the lobby. He always makes time to fit us in. His tech is also so kind and helpful.
The doctor is old school. He tells you that he doesn’t believe in wasting money on certain treatments and is realistic about quality of life. He is mainly a shot clinic at his age but does do more than that. I remember him taking care of my childhood cats/dog in the 90s. He is a good vet but now older so his services are less and he is really not available for emergencies.
Dr. is great with all types of dogs. I have a barker. They let me wait outside so I didn't have to worry about him barking at other dogs. (Can get aggressive) Plus he shows you proper ways to hold your dog when they get their shots.
Dr. Gundrania and his receptionist were exceptional. The service was amazing - they took such great care of my puppy and were very kind/efficient. Thank you both for the amazing service.
The only vet that I trust. He doesn’t do unnecessary tests. I have taken my dogs and cats to Dr Jay for many years.
