We cannot thank Cincinnati Dog Wizard and our trainer Jake enough for how they have changed our world in just a few weeks! My partner and I rescued a problem child puppy, Quinn, who starting showing severe behavioral issues immediately into the adolescent phase of her life and only got worse as she became an adult. She was aggressive, impulsive, had problems with resource guarding, almost no obedience, you name it. Our life was very chaotic and unmanageable so our vet referred us to The Dog Wizard. Upon evaluation they thought the 3 week board and train would be the best option for Quinn so it would give them enough time for her to get comfortable with the trainer as well as all the new equipment, and give her as much time as possible to work through what we were needing. We were apprehensive about a board and train program and if you are similar to us, let me be the one to tell you to do the board and train!!! It absolutely set Quinn up for success, she was able to solely focus on the work she was there to learn. A big thank you to the kennel staff for taking great care of our girl! Our trainer Jake was the absolute best. Truly cannot say enough good things about him. He made sure to build the strongest possible bond with Quinn so she fully trusted him to guide her through this process. He updated us as much as possible with texts, photos and videos letting us know what they were working on and how she was doing. But most importantly he taught our Quinn how to make good decisions for herself, MANY new commands, he tackled every issue we needed tackled (resource guarding, aggression, impulse control, leash manners, obedience etc) as well as giving me and my partner the tools to be the best dog parents and continue to advocate for our girl and build the unwavering bond of trust. It has been bliss having her home, Thank you to the whole team! We appreciate all the support!

We highly recommend The Dog Wizard! Our Theo attended the two week board and train at 14 weeks old. He came home walking on a leash perfectly & mastered recalls, basic commands, & is a better listener overall. Most of all, we as his owners learned so many tips and were educated on how to continue to make progress with his training. We were able to vacation for a week while boarding Theo with the peace of mind that he was learning so much while we were gone. Alex was our trainer and you can tell he is passionate about the dogs under his care. We are excited to see what the next several months bring!

Let me just say…Amanda is amazing!! She had my two doggos for 3 weeks board and train. They came back so much improved in the short 3 weeks! I love the fact she came to my place 3 times (once during, once to bring back after 3 weeks, and a week follow up). It helped a ton for me to learn how to manage patches and sable since that’s where they have to learn to adapt! She spent a ton of time showing me everything I needed to know and has texted me many times to check in! The fact that it’s a lifetime guarantee and I can reach out any time I feel they (or I) need a refresher is reassuring. I can’t say enough good things about The Dog Wizard and about Amanda! I know it takes a ton of homework on my end when they get home, and it takes consistency but I was happy with how they were sent home so I had a solid foundation to work with. They basically reset behaviors I didn’t think were possible which is key! It’s a process, but I’d highly recommend doing it!

We highly recommend Dog Wizard! We rescued Floyd & sent him to the 14 day training just one week after we rescued him. He’s a busy shepherd lab mix and have wonderful resources now on how to help him. His trainer, Austin did an amazing job socializing him, teaching him how to walk on a leash and mind his manners. She is great following up with any questions we have. We also get to go to support classes with him every other Saturday to continue his training. 10/10 recommend this organization. We came to Cincy Dog Wizard for help with our rescue dog's leash reactivity, stranger danger, and overall confidence. I also wanted to learn how to be a better leader and advocate for my dog. Our trainer Pam is amazing. She is knowledgeable, patient, and made training fun as she tailored our private sessions to meet our individual needs. The whole process has strengthened my relationship with my dog and improved our daily lives together. I love that Cincy Dog Wizard offers ongoing support and group classes for their graduates, we will definitely continue working with them!

Woof woof! 🐾 Hi, I'm Hank, and I just finished my two-week board and train program with The Dog Wizard and my new best friend, Austin. I gotta tell you, it was pawsome! Before, I had some trouble understanding what my humans wanted from me. But thanks to Austin, I'm now a superstar pup! I learned how to follow commands, walk nicely on a leash, and be a calm, happy dog at home. Austin was super patient and kind, and she made learning so much fun. My humans are so happy with how well-behaved I am now. I can't thank Austin and The Dog Wizard enough for helping me become the good boy I always wanted to be.
