I have fostered 3 dogs with Last Day Dog Rescue since February 2024. Everything about LDDR is simple, straightforward, and strives to put animals above all! It is a network of individuals with no physical location, by design, and all who serve the community through this rescue do so with a heart full of love! I highly recommend fostering and/or adopting through LDDR.
I feel obligated to add another negative review to the pile. This place is known far and wide for their total lack of communication, but we were really interested in a specific dog so we tried. Nothin. An application, follow up contact. Nothin. I hope they are just paying SO much attention to the (theoretical) dogs that they don’t have time for actually finding them homes.
I got my dog from them 11 years ago. At that time they did not have a physical location just had foster homes for the dogs and cats that they got. I am unsure if they still only run out of foster homes or have a physical location but this resuce is very nice and we got the best dog ever. They provided all the paperwork of work that my dog had done while she was with them as well as any information they had on her from her previous owners. We only had a rough estimate on age but 11 years later my pup is still doing great.
This month will be our 6th Adoption Anniversary for our Jack a giant of a German Shepherd that had been to several different homes and abused. He was 3 and wasn’t my first choice b/c the dog I wanted was adopted while I was going through the paperwork with this volunteer ran organization that has to work other jobs as well as run this organization. These people are fosters and will you find their physical building, no b/c it is run out of their homes. I’m glad I didn’t get the other dog, I got the dog that needed me and who I needed. Do they do what the Humane Society does that has funding, no…they don’t have that funding but they rescue animals and foster them and work hard to find them good homes. Is there a fee? Yes, it costs to foster animals! They do have to be fed, housed, visit the vet and everything else that goes with housing a pet! Please do you’re own research besides reading a few reviews. Jack is an amazing dog and I’m so grateful to have him in my life!
Our rescue dog is now 7 years old and we’re so grateful and impressed with Last Day Dog Rescue. They care very deeply that the adoptive family is ready to have one of their animals. They had someone come to our house and interview my husband and I and inspect our home and yard to ensure that we’d take care of our new dog. Thank you for doing so much good! 😊
I had a wonderful experience with this place. I’ve had my fur baby for 6 years now and she’s the center of our universe. Foster parents were amazing and responsive and it’s so refreshing to see how thorough this place is in making sure the animals are well taken Care of and are placed in good homes.
