My girl Chihuahua had surgery at this other one place , sent home same day had a fever with kidney problems , very sick . Call Acess pet hospital and they took her in right away . Save her life , was there for 9 days . Had the BEST doctors and staff . Treated her and us with all respect . Lots of money but so worth it. Thanked everyone there , will never forget the attentive you were with her . Will always recommend! Tops! Always have faith and believe in miracles. Pray ! After 1 1/2 she’s still with us . 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Without a doubt Access saved my 12 year old goldens life. He had a needle in his stomach, fluid in his very space you could imagine and 3 weeks later he is 100% his crazy dog self again. I owe the world to this team and now Bruce can live out his golden years! (No pun intended 💜 I would give access a 10 star review rating if I could!
Dr Sarah Zimmerman is an excellent cardiologist. She has treated two of my dogs. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough, and an expert in her field. Even though we moved 3 hours away, we continue to bring our dogs to her. She is one of the best!
Really had a lovely experience here yesterday. My little 4.5 month old Cavapoo puppy Oliver, clearly got into something yesterday. He threw up and initially I didn’t think much of it. But then quickly I realized he was weak, lethargic, wobbly, and drooling - and had a sense he must have eaten something toxic even though I’ve never had a dog do that before. Grabbed what I thought it COULD be, but really had no clue as this dog gets into everything and anything, and rushed over to Access per my normal vet’s recommendation. They took me seriously and took him in right away. I was a god awful blubbering mess once I got there - but they were kind, patient, communicative, and soothing. You can tell from their front desk reception down to the doctors and nurses that they all care about animals AND their humans well being as we. They kept him on watch a few hours, and when his vitals remained normal and he didn’t get worse they gave him a few recommended treatments and I took him home to continue to monitor. I felt they didn’t try to push on me more than he needed, as they could have easily said “we need to monitor him for the night” or “we need tests run” and were very transparent about their opinion and what my options were. He is feeling better today / almost seems back to normal - but I’m super thankful I took him in and got the professional advice and care he needed. I will def be bringing my pup here if ever there is another emergency and recommending Access to others. Thanks again team!
My cat needed emergency surgery on a holiday and I brought him here because it was one of the only places open. We saw Dr. Guastamacchio and she was incredibly condescending. I was emotional and stressed due to the fact that my cat’s life was in danger and the prices they were quoting for the surgery were insane. Dr. Guastamacchio spoke to me and my husband in a very patronizing way during a very sensitive time. I cannot speak to the care that they provide here because we left and went somewhere else that provided the same services for half the cost. All other staff members besides the doctor were very kind.
This was my third visit to this place which handles all the different kinds of pets very well. How fortunate the South Bay is to have access to compassionate Specialists in Cardiology and Internal Medicine! Dr. Kunz, Internal Medicine, was absolutely wonderful and thoroughly explained everything in such a way we could understand. At a previous visit a year or so ago, my cat was also seen by Dr. Zimmerman, Cardiologist, who was also excellent in explaining everything. The Vet Tech(?) who did the pre-exam fact-finding was a very good listener and communicator (sorry, can't remember her name, but she was wonderful!!). The Front Desk staff are pleasant, friendly, helpful, and just responsive to any needs you may have. All staff members handled my cat compassionately. It's so comforting knowing where to take my darlin' in case of an emergency 24/7. The facility is nice-looking and clean and they have a shaded seating area outside to wait in, which was good, since my cat was more comfortable waiting there without dogs around inside the lobby. Yes, pet healthcare is expensive, but consider the knowledge and experience these Specialists must have, and the many years of schooling & training. It is not an easy profession. They earned their credentials and DESERVE to be paid well, same as human doctors/specialists, only they have to learn about many different animals! Pet insurance helps with the expense and to provide peace of mind, but it's also very expensive. For myself, it hasn't quite paid off yet, but I guess that's a good thing.
