Description Michael’s Angel Paws is a Nevada tax-exempt, IRS-appr 501c3 not-for-profit organization that was inaugurated in October 2012. At our core and as of January 2021; we have graduated over 125 Assistance dogs, with over 70 Assistant dogs in training currently. Our Therapy Teams have over 250 members that are committed to helping our communities feel better and or navigate through difficult times with the help of our loving pups. Furthermore, we have coached over 5,000 dogs and helped them safely become happy, healthy, and well-trained companion dogs for families all over the Las Vegas Valley and beyond. Many of these teams have gone on to compete in agility, obedience, rally, one of our biggest joys is giving back to community.

When we brought our new puppy, Olive, home I thought my 8 year old dog, Addy, would love the companionship; sadly that was not the case. She was mad, and made sure everyone knew it. Initially we thought it was because Addy was annoyed by Olive’s puppy behaviors so we enrolled Olive in training through Michael’s Angel Paws. Her behavior improved greatly, however Addy still wasn’t tolerating Olive, and her annoyance of Olive became increasingly more concerning. Addy was lunging, growling, barring her teeth, chasing Olive into corners, and unfortunately we got in the way of her aggressiveness a few times and ended up getting bit. So, I contacted Michael’s Angel Paws and asked for help. Stephanie sent Michael to the house for a private session. Michael explained why Addy was acting this way, how our response was encouraging it, and gave us simple concrete ways to stop it. By the time Michael left our house the behaviors were already improving. By the next day Addy’s behaviors had stopped and they were even lying next to each other. I realize that consistency is key and that we will need to continue to monitor and use the tools Michael taught us, however I am so happy that we are getting our sweet Addy back. Whether you need basic obedience training, more advanced training, or individual attention for more serious behaviors I highly recommend Michael’s Angel Paws. (And, Michael is AMAZING!!!)

Absolutely amazing. They don’t just do the regular sit stay down. They teach you how to communicate with you dog and help you understand how dogs communicate and understand you.

The classes are great for starting up your dog in obedience and agility. My little dog earned AKC obedience and agility titles after training in the classes. She also qualified as a Therapy Dog as well. Thank you Stephanie for your training and patience.

I was looking for a place where I could get Therapy Dog training for my Labrador. The classes were economical and the trainers were knowledgeable. The opportunities for the Therapy Dogs are abundant too. It's not difficult to fit your schedule. It's nice that as a full-time worker, I can still have time to give back to the community. I then enrolled my beagle into their agility program. She's too sassy to be a therapy dog, but she loves to work. MAPs (as they are lovingly called) has a wonderful mission, the are great for the community and they have something for just about every dog-personality out there. Thank you MAPs for helping my pups live their best lives!
