The women behind the desk are extremely rude and hateful. They could care less if the animals there EVER find their forever homes!!!
We adopted a young female cat who had been in the cold and snow. She had frostbite on her ears. The staff love her and had taken good care of her. They named her frosty. Had it not been for the staff at the shelter she surely wouldn't be here today. But because of them she now has a place in our 💕. Thanks to all of you. Will send pics soon
DO NOT TAKE ANIMALS HERE! The cat I brought in was abandoned by its owners. His name was Jack. He was feeling a little under the weather and was having a hard time lifting his head up. Instead of getting him medical treatment, they let him die. I had to call multiple to ask about him. The first time (a couple of days after dropping him off) they informed me he was doing just fine. The second time (today) they told me he had gotten adopted. The third time (later that same day) they said he had passed away.
The worst experience I have ever had with an animal shelter. My husband and I had found a puppy who was starved and skinny and tried to take it to them but told us that they were too full and to try other places. And once I had explained that we had tried 3 other places they just told me they didn’t know what they could do for us. So I guess leaving strays where we found them is their motto. Horrible and unprofessional
Individual at the front desk was unprofessional. Wouldn’t take his eyes off his phone, as he was playing angry birds. Only gave short answers to questions and all we were trying to do was see what cats were available for adoption. We were told all cats were in quarantine and it was unknown when they would be out of quarantine.
My whole experience with this facility has been terrible. When we first went there to look at the animals we were entirely ignored at the front and no one even looked up from their phones or said a word. So I just walked up to the kennel door anyways and we went into the animal section with no instructions on where to go. Then I was interested in this animal and they just said okay come Saturday. I was given no instructions, no knowledge about adoption or anything. They just instructed me to come back Saturday and moved on to the next person. I called that Friday because no one cared to give me any information and the lady was trying to give me the same lousy response so I practically had to beg information out of her and so after much time she said I could come get a number on Saturday and she said show up early and get in line, never gave me a time or anything except it starts at 10. On that Saturday I arrived at 6 am to locked gates and no number system, with no knowledge of what the number system even is because they inform no one of anything. After coming back at 9 Ibgrabbed a number from the door and yes there was a sign that said you leave you forfeit your number, but I left cause the call I had with the lady before said I could drop my son off with his dad right down the street. Not even a whole 12 minutes later I was back sitting in the parking lot and waited the rest of the hour for the doors to open. There was no note on the door saying if you come back you need to grab a new number, nobody came outside to tell me. I was there before all the other people who grabbed numbers after me. I then got inside and they just said nope you left, you aren't in the line anymore. So instead of walking outside and informing of this or leaving a note on the door they just kicked me out of their facility and gave the animal away to someone else and completely ignored me. Not only is the staff rude and uncompassionate to people they don't inform anyone. They couldn't care less if their animals got adopted or not. They give no information to people who want to adopt. They run off the system of SOL. Yes, I do recognize and agree I forfeited my number if we are basing it off the sign, but they should have informed me that my phone call would mean nothing, that the lady named Tammy's word apparenlty doesn't matter even though I explained to her I had to take my son somewhere she said I would be fine and my number would still be valid. If the staff were decent they would have left a note on the door or told me otherwise instead of watching me leave and come back and could have been able to grab the very next number. I am highly disappointed with this experience, and I know that they will not even read these reveiws and this will just get lost on google maps, but if you do happen to read the reviews I would like to atleast inform you that if you truly want to adopt from this place you need to press for information constantly and I want to warn you that they will be rude and uncaring for you and if they say they will do anything for you do not believe it because they go back on their own word. If you happen to read this just know there are other ways to get great animals that people actually care if they go to a good home or not, that people actually honor their word and their clients. I wish I could give this place zero stars but in order to inform anyone of this terrible establishment I have to give them one star. The animal I wanted to get missed out on a great home and my family missed out on a great animal because the people trying to give her away don't care what happens to the people or their animals they just want to get on with their day so they can leave their job and get their money. The camera sign outside is also a lie, they only have one camera that was for the recycling plant in the back. They don't actually own any cameras, so if you try and ask for them to use the cameras they will just act dumb about it until they tell you they don't actually have cameras.
