We captured a skunk in a cage (it was terrorizing our chickens). We live in town. We called animal control to do their jobs (removing a dangerous animal from our property). We were told that since we had done half their job for them (all they had to do was pick it up, we had it trapped) they wouldn't do anything about it. We needed help with their area of expertise and were denied on a technicality. So, one star. Don't bother calling, they don't care. Edit 2022: New skunk threat attacking people in our neighborhood, we haven't trapped it and they still won't do anything. Told us it was our problem, we had to trap and dispose of it ourselves. Why does this department even exist?

Basically outside of their own bubble they don't care about animals and will release them without consequence. They need to get some humanity.

Very nice Officer who really cares about the animals. You can stop in and see the animals if they're outside.

I once asked to adopted a dog here and the next day they said it was shipped to st. Louis to be euthanized. And once asked them to help with a dog that was abandoned and they said no.
