Description We are a small animal veterinary hospital that cares for you and your pet’s health and well-being. Since 1976, we have been dedicated to helping you enjoy your pets by keeping them well and providing high quality medical care when they are not. In October 2015, Dr. Michelle McKenzie Poche took over ownership of our hospital. She brought in a new perspective, ultrasound and takes pride in utilizing fear-reducing practices to make your pet's visit as comfortable as possible. At GBVH, we consider all clients and their four-legged family members as members of our GBVH Famiy. Exciting news: Slidell native, Dr. Tori Retif joined the GBVH team in 2023. GBVH offers boarding in our spacious, indoor kennel and grooming services for dogs and cats.

Squeak, my cat, and I have enjoyed being patrons of Gause Boulevard Veterinary Hospital for the past year! Squeak is comfortable around the staff, and I feel as though she is in good hands with them! The staff members are professional, friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere of high frequency meditation music is relaxing for both me, and Squeak. My mini schnauzer, Sunny, gets groomed here and Megan is the absolute best!! Today for his groom she grabbed his leash and he just ran to the back with her, which he has never done. He is usually very hesitant to leave my side. I know my sweet boy trusts her and and I know she cares so much about all her furry clients. She’s the best!! 🩵🩵

We brought our boy Buddy here. He was a little older and not in good health. When we first arrived I could tell that everyone there was genuinely concerned for him and everyone was ready to get to work.. Unfortunately, he ended up passing not long after we arrived. We were able to stay with him in his last moments. Everyone was so kind and empathetic. They even gave us his paw prints as a keepsake. This is a great place with an awesome and caring team. I would definitely recommend.

Boarded my three boys for the first time. Great experience. They sent us pictures to reassure us that they were in good hands. They patiently answered all of my questions and reassured me through the entire process. All three are rescues and this was my first time boarding. They were so patient and loving with my boys and i was extremely pleased with the experience.

When Mabelle popped the outer layer of her abdominal stitches, we had to find a vet to stitch her back up, and treat the infection. Our regular vet was closed on Saturdays, , but we were so thankful to find the Gause BLVD Clinic! The staff and doctor were kind, professional, compassionate, and great with our pup. We travelled 30 miles to be seen, and were glad we did. They squeezed us in just before closing and Mabelle received amazing care. We highly recommend this Animal Hospital.

The doctors and staff were instrumental in turning our rescue dog Ozzy from a very aggressive dog to one that is now a joy to have around the house. In addition they are very caring that you receive a follow-up call after each visit to get an update as to how their meds and treatment are working. It has been a blessing for us.
