They have been great helping my cat. They take very good care of my cat while she was there for observation and testing. All staff have been very friendly and will explain things in a way I could understand and feel great about treatment. I highly recommend.

Unfortunately, they are still utilizing the archaic practice of "boxing down" cats to induce anesthesia, which greatly increases the risk of an adverse anesthetic event (i.e., arrhythmias and/or cardiopulmonary arrest), due to catecholamine release, and increased exposure doses of inhalant. Box inductions are explicitly discouraged by the AAFP (the American Association of Feline Practitioners, who recommend best practice guidelines in the interest of feline patients). Avoid. There are veterinarians who practice more quality medicine, and gentler handling of feline patients.

She is very knowledgeable. **practice utilizes technology** In the past I've been able to text a video of my sick cat for her to view and make recommendations**

I took my six month-old cat here for a check-up and to establish care. He is an extremely social cat and loves people. The vet and vet tech treated him like he was a feral cat. My cat never had an issue with his old vet, and he was freaked out the whole ride home. There are other reviews that suggest that this isn’t a rare occurrence. I would look elsewhere for a more caring and compassionate vet. Two stars because the exam fee was cheaper than I was expecting.

The Cat Clinic of Folsom has been the most amazing vet! I won't take my cats anywhere else! Dr. Standen and the staff genuinely care about their patients & clients. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences each and every time we visit. Thank you Cat Clinic for taking care of my fur babies!

My experience during my visit to Cat Clinic of Folsom on 4/13/2023 around 10:30 am. I have been taking my cats there over 5 years and this was the most worrisome and unprofessional visit. Unprofessional behavior of the RVT at the front desk: Do you always yell at the patient's owner's when they didn't hear you first time? What if they have hearing impairment? Do you always make them apologize for not hearing you? What makes you feel ok to yell your customers? During the exam more worrisome part: My cat has issues even with sedation and she was uncooperative. They ended up doing only weight check and doing vaccinations due to possible danger to them. Same RVT didn't know the information of the vaccinations when Dr. Standen asked to her. There was no time out/confirmation of the names and dosages of vaccines before RVT rushed to inject them back to back with the same needle even Dr.Standen told her to change the needle between the shots she ignored her request. If it is completely safe to do it with one needle why Dr. asked RVT to change the needle? How can I be sure RVT gave appropriate dosage and correct vaccines? My cat still cries and I hope there will be no complications related to this matter/RVT's ignorance not following proper steps identification and administration of vaccinations related to patient/pet care.
