I took my baby Estrellita when she walked the rainbow bridge. Everyone was nice, gave me my time with her, no rush. She was able to come home in a couple of days. We loved the presentation and everything we asked for. The card in the mail they sent was a lovely touch. First time there, so we didn't know them. But for them to take the time was nice. We still have another fur baby, so we will definitely keep them in mind.

We came out this morning with my cat who was having an medical episode, I called first before I went since I have not had any previous e xperience with an Emergency Vet, so the friendly receptionist game me some helpful information and based on the medical situation recommended we come in for a visit. Upon arrival we were treated with care and kindness and someone came out promptly to give a triage exam. The Veterinarian herself was very professional and explained our options and was able to suggest a good care plan. I feel that they truly saved my pet’s life. I would come back based on this visit!

This place was excellent and we left very happy with our pup. If you are in the market for Emergency Veterinary care, be prepared to spend significant money no matter where you go, that's a fact of owning pets. We foster dogs and I can tell you, emergency care is going to cost you 4 times the cost of preventative care visits with your own vet. Having been to a few centers in the valley over the years, I can attest that this is the best one I have been to and the prices were on board with their competitors without feeling like I was being sold a bunch of snake oil. The care, attention to detail, and the explanation of services was excellent and I am so glad my personal vet of 20years suggested we go here. I was not pressured into anything we didn't need and they just ensured I left with my pet in better shape than we came in with.

Please avoid this vet hospital at all costs. Especially if you own a pitbull. It took me about half a year to write this review because I did not understand the severity of the lack of care there was in this emergency hospital until I recently had an absolutely amazing experience elsewhere. My dog was attacked by a homeless dog. The dog bit into my dog’s snout. We immediately took our dog to the hospital because of the puncture in the snout area. We brought her in and the staff seemed attentive and took our dog in to clean her wound and “assess” for any other issues. We waited 3 hours for the staff to do their job. Within that time, they managed to clean the superficial level of her wound and provide her pain medication. They also let us know that our dog had to be sedated to be able to have a thorough look of all the area, including the mouth. The staff had separated our dog from us all of that time. Which I know could be protocol for some hospitals. When she was discharged the staff said all was great and there were no issue. All assessments were done and she was good to be on her way. When we got home, I assessed my dog’s wound to make sure everything was ok. That is when I opened her mouth and saw she had a deep open wound in her gums and her tooth was hanging by a thread to her gums. I immediately called back and asked them what exactly they did for her. They immediately changed their narrative and claimed that my dog was too aggressive to treat. They never voiced this once while we were on sight. I went back that same night so they could reassess her issues. And I also spoke to the doctor that told me that she was not going to put her staff at risk to help my dog because “my dog was aggressive”. She was deeply sorry and gave us our money back BUT, I would rather treat my dog with my eyes closed than to ever go back there again. I could only imagine that if this was a life threatening situation for my dog, my dog would not have made it out that hospital. Absolutely horrendous experience. If you’re ever looking for quality service in the area, Veterinary Emergency Group- Phoenix (VEG) is absolutely worth the drive, they are an open concept hospital that allows you to stay with your animals throughout the entire visit. And they educate you step by step on the procedures they are doing to your pets.

Wonderful staff and Doctor. They were all so very kind and caring in a time we were super stressed about our dogs situation. Would highly recommend AVECCC to everyone who needs emergency help. My only wish is they had primary care doctors on staff we could see regularly. This is an amazing place 💕

We received satisfactory care for our senior dog here and appreciated the calm efficiency of all staff we encountered. Grace the tech especially was very kind and knowledgeable. Here are a few tips about how this ER works that may help folks considering taking their pet in: 1. They are open 24 hours (however we experienced that the front desk may not be staffed during early morning hours, also the door is locked overnight, call for entry). 2. They work on a walk-in basis. 3. Critical care/emergencies are treated first. 4. They triage pets when they arrive, and if your pet’s vitals are within normal levels (vitals include temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, gum color), they are considered “stable” and are placed in line to be seen. 5. As of May 2024 the emergency doctor initial exam/consultation fee was $195, plus any additional treatment is on top of that. 6. Expect that they will be extra busy on a holiday weekend. I’m sharing this so that folks can make informed decisions about whether to seek care here. You can also call and they share this with you.
