My elderly dog was found and brought to this rescue by an amazing couple. She was missing for several hours and overnight. They took such good care of her and she was safe and healthy. I don’t have the words to express my gratitude. May everyone there and those who found her be blessed 10000000x and more. I will never forget this day.
They take wonderful care of the animals at PARL. Some people have complained about the cost of adoption, but truly for what they do for the animal before you adopt it, the cost is minimal. Every animal is spayed or neutered, has a microchip inserted and has had a thorough examination with vaccines from a veterinarian. Also, they give out coupons for a free initial examination when you take the animal to your personal vet. All of this for an adoption fee of $150 to $250, which is far below the price of what all these medical procedures would have cost if you did it through your own vet. Plus you are saving a life, gaining a new family member and supporting a worthy charity.
My Own Experience With Providence Animal Rescue League With The Pet Pantry The Ladies Are Sweet & Kind & Very Caring & I Appreciate Them & I Appreciate What They Do Which Is Help People Out In Need For Pet Food & Treats & Even Supplies... They Helped Me Out A lot, Because The Cost Of Food Is Sky High,So I Give Them More Then 5 Stars, Because They Deserve It,So Thank You Everyone That Works & Volunteer At The Providence Animal Rescue League God Bless You All...
There’s no words to truly express how grateful I am for Parl. Not only are their staff amazing but they offer us in a they offer us in an affordable, pet clinic, but their pet food pantry has helped me more than you’ll ever know. There’s never no judgment or questions of why I can’t continuously take care of my fur babies on my own. Whenever I am in need, they greet me with a smile on their face. I am truly grateful for those who donate to the center in order to help people like me, as well as all the animals that they help here in Providence. God willing I’ll be able to be blessed enough to return the favor to them so they can continue to do the amazing what they do. With lots of love, Taja
Absolutely wonderful place to adopt from!! Process was smooth and simple and they are great with communication! Would recommend PARL a thousand times and more!! Wish more pet adoption agencies were more like this!! They even gave us the picture of our baby hanging on the wall :)
Generally, when people volunteer for an organization, they are made to feel appreciated and their well-being a concern for a leader or director. Not here. instead, aside from check-ins, I was made to feel more like a criminal doing community service, and even when injured, the executive director did not even bother to ask me how my injury was despite sending me a canned response to an email! It is possible that SOME of the people here cannot interact with humans in a respectful or caring matter, which is why they stick to animals. I was told by one person that they were low on the food the animals I had to return liked, but then a director we will call "B" lied and said they had plenty when I simply offered to drop some off. So I don't recommend volunteering/fostering here. But they do take fairly good care of the animals, within the limits they are given. UPDATE!: PARL has since started an onboarding and training program for cats and small animal fostering, so I have raised them a star for responsiveness to problems. Although I still wish they could've reached out and communicated.
