Today we expected my dog Sam to be put down. I called Apex and they made room for us to come in. First the tech came in and took a thorough review of his symptoms and history. A few minutes later Dr. Richardson came in and spent a long time examining him and talking with us. She was very knowledgeable about Labs, their characteristics and tendencies. She gave us several options and after blood tests and X-rays and a prescription, Sam came home with a possible optimistic chance to extend his life and comfort. What amazed me was that Dr. Richardson gave us about an hour and a half of her time on a day when we were unexpected. She showed such concern for Sam and for us. She loves what she is doing and she and Apex were so good for us on this day when we expected a much sadder conclusion.

I used to support them but after today I am disgusted. They took forever to get back to me regarding an emergency situation and when I tried other vets They recommended me back to apex. When I finally got in touch They made it seem like they would accept my pet, put me on hold and then came back saying they wouldn't help and told me to go elsewhere. They didn't seem to change their mind until I had mentioned financial struggle and then they refused to take him. I spent 4 hours trying to get my baby seen and he ended up passing and I can't help but feel that if maybe I was able to get in sooner rather than struggle to find another vet he may still be here. I have never been treated so poorly. I'm not just being biased either the vet I did eventually get into agreed it was beyond ridiculous. It shouldn't be about money.

We were recommended to this clinic only because of the emergency options Regardless of horror stories we have heard. We adopted a dog from the humane society and called to make an appointment. I had a whole discussion with the receptionist about how she saw the post on the humane society and we went over pricing and everything. We had to wait 3 weeks until we could get in, but we were happy to do so just to get her seen My husband and I took the day off to be with our new baby for her first visit only to get there and be treated so poorly by the receptionist. All because they didn't have us on the schedule. She refused to even look up our name in the system until I asked a third time she just kept repeating there is no "*****" on the schedule. I wasn't sure if it was the lack of basic computer skills but the unprofessional attitude was disgusting. We are very disappointed

Called for their emergency vet after my dog swallowed a sock and the lady on the phone told me it would be over $200 just to speak to the vet to determine if this was emergency or not non-refundable. I asked her if she thought I could wait until morning to which she rudely replied what is your name? And then condescendingly used it and said she wasn’t a vet in a rude tone and interrupted me saying “is this an emergency or not” which was what I was trying to figure out myself. Ended up telling her I would call around somewhere else and she said “ok sounds good” in that same passive aggressive tone. Ridiculous price and horrible desk service

Apex Animal Hospital is amazing. Took my geriatric pup there today to discuss some really hard issues and Dr Harris spent an hour with us. She answered all of our questions, addressed every concern and helped us formulate a plan of action to keep our pup healthy & comfortable. We never felt rushed or foolish. We were treated with respect & compassion. In past visits, they have been wonderful when interacting with our dog. They get down on the floor with her rather than hoisting her up on a table and do everything they can to help her feel calm. My wife and I have been using Apex since we moved here nearly 3 years ago from NC and we're so pleased we were referred to them. They are also very quick to get back to you when you call with a question.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Apex! I love the staff and how they were always able to squeeze me in for an appointment for my special needs cat, Winky. Very comfortable environment as well. Thank you!
