Description "Frosted Faces Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that delivers the promise of family and comprehensive veterinary care for senior pets whose love and lives are in jeopardy."
I absolutely love this place! I adopted my senior, Jet, in 2021, and it’s been amazing. I love what FF is doing with senior dogs. I am a huge animal lover and only wish I lived closer in order to visit more often. I don’t understand how anyone can write a negative review for a place that is truly helping so many senior dogs that otherwise would not be helped. I am grateful I was accepted to take my Jet home with me, but even if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t take it out on the dogs by leaving a bad review on the place that saved them. Thank you Frosted Faces!!!
I have worked with rescues before. By far, this group is the best. Each animal is treated as you would your own child. They stimulate the animals and the kennels are spotless. If you can help take care of one of these fur babies, do it! You won’t regret it. There are multiple programs to choose from to help with these seniors.
We adopted a FF and had her for 3 years. Here name is Mochi. A sweet and gentle girl. However she suffers from extreme generalized anxiety and separation anxiety. Potentially PTSD from her past owners. We love and cared for her, however her needs became out of our reach to be able to facilite i.e myself and my partner work full time and look after a baby, Mochi (chloe grace) needs people present 24/7 or close too. When bringing her her back to FF we disclosed all of this very comprehensively to the staff. However after several emails, filled out forms and in person communication they have completely disregarded this necessary information and dismissed us even though we loved and cared for her full time for almost 4 years. No replies and no return of communication. Furthermore they have been advertising and posting about mochi as a dog with NO separation anxiety. We know this dog better than anyone and they simply are not advocating for her best interest. She deserves the whole she needs to live comfortably. FF are creating narratives for dogs that are easier to swallow in order to move adoptions forward however once adopted have little to no care or regards for that animal or their owners. It’s bitter sweet in writing this as I want so much to be able to give an account of a gleaming experience for this non-profit. However I feel it a civil duty as a human and as an animal advocate to inform prospective adopters to take descriptions of the pets with a pinch of salt as a number of adopters including but not limited to myself have had this same experience. They are incredibly judgey and not 100% upfront about details regarding the animals. Mochi has had severe anxiety from the day we got her until the day we heartbreakingly took her back. The ONE and ONLY reason in doing so was because we are not able to be with her 100% of the time. And this is what she needs. And before FF respond with an inaccurate and passive aggressive reply to this. Know we were loving and accommodating parents, we tried every single avenue available. Spent time and money trying to come up with a solution for the dog we love so much. They also changed her name which seems incredibly cruel and confusing for her, for no reason other than some weird level of spite for us. We are devastated that it has potentially all been in vein as they have completely dismissed any of her medical and emotional needs. Please hear this and consider it when going to FF. Very heartbreaking as Mochis ex-parents knowing she is not getting everything she deserves. Hugely regret bringing her back.
This is such a fantastic rescue! Frosted Faces gives senior dogs a second chance. Just as importantly, they give people to discover the amazing love of a grateful, rescued senior dog. Foster, volunteer, or adopt! Volunteering isn't just kennel cleaning at the property, although they need that, too. You can chat up the rescue at adoption events in the community, borrow a dog for an afternoon of paddle boarding, or have a lunch date at a local restaurant. Have fun with it!
This is the best place! It’s magical here and if you’re thinking of adopting a senior dog that has so much love to give, you came to the right place. After the loss our 18 year old (Nilla) and having her since she was a puppy, we weren’t sure if we were ready for another dog, but we met the second love of our lives at frosted faces (Everly). We took Everly out for a fling (this is a 2 week foster program they have) and we knew during that time that we must have her as part of our family forever. I never thought that I would get so much love in return when we adopted her, but we did! She helped us heal so much and we did everything together and never left each other’s sides. Since she recently passed and we knew we wanted to help another dog, we took another dog (Bee) on a fling and she warmed up to us within a week and once again we decide to adopt her. How lucky we are to have found 2 amazing dogs here in such a short time. These senior dogs are so loving and deserving of a forever home. Please come to frosted faces for an open house on Sat or Sun from 10 am - 1 pm and see for yourself! Fling a dog! The possibilities for love are endless:) I want to send the biggest thank you to everyone at frosted faces! Thank you for all your care and compassion for all these sweet frosted faces.
Hard to say what’s best about Frosted Faces. Wonderful programs, well-run and clean facility, and amazing staff and volunteers. And the animals - I want them all, especially the littles ❤️
