Within minutes of me calling, an officer was on scene to help out! We had an injured squirrel stuck in the trash can and they grabbed him and are taking him to get healthy before putting him back into the wild.
Tammy was an amazing officer. My friend’s dog escaped during the Halloween mayhem of kids getting ready to trick or treat. Tammy brought her back with kindness and showed understanding for my friends who were getting two kiddos ready and dressed for trick or treating. Thank you SO much Tammy!!!
Great response to a stuck snapping turtle at Mcintosh today, he/she is safe now
Our beloved cat injured himself badly and uncharacteristically bit our vet tech while being examined due to acute pain. In any animal bite case, an incident report must be filed. Officer Erin McCloy handled the case and was incredibly kind and reassuring. We had a very pleasant conversation when she stopped by to get my signature, and I left the interaction feeling so much better. She is an experienced vet tech and completely understood the circumstances that led to the incident. No blame or shame, just compassion and support. Thank you, Erin and Longmont Animal Control, for your service to our community! I'm very impressed with your efficiency and friendliness!
We found a lost dog and called animal control. While we waited for them to get to our location, we walked around trying to find the owners or see if anyone knew the dog. When the officer got to us, she was upset at us for walking around with the dog and acted as if the whole ordeal was a huge inconvenience for her. I’m very disappointed with the officer the way she talked to us. She was belittling, rude, and overall not a nice person. Normally I would have thought she was having a bad day but there was no reason as to why she needed to be as rude as she was. I’ve called animal control before and talked to wonderful officers but this one was awful and makes me question if I were to call again.
We had a stray come hang with our dog for a few hours, we didn't know to whom he belonged to so we called the LPAC and they got there within 10 mins of calling and was able to take the pup. (She had to work for it, but she did a fine job!) Safe puppy and happy citizen!!
