Our experience has been exceptional in working with Burbank animal shelter. We are currently fostering Leila. She is a sweet, affectionate, high energy dog that quickly learns and will relax by your side. She is already house broken, sits on command and loves to walk/play.

We adopted Floyd about a month ago from the Burbank shelter. Everyone there was just great!!! Our current dog, Lucy, was lonely, indeed. When she met Floyd, it seems they fell magically in love (Not like that) and were soon best of friends. Floyd is now solidly a part of our pack. First photo is Floyd’s front half. Second photo is Floyd’s other end. The third pic is Lucy waiting fo Floyd,. The fourth is Lucy and Floyd on their walk. The last one is, obviously after the walk. Thanking you guys again for getting Lucy a new best friend. 🐾

Staff was helpful and friendly. Meet Shylo I want to add a huge Thank you to the foster parent (Verna) who nursed my sweet kitty since he was a week old. Takes a real special person. I'm in love. Thank you again!!!

I went to the shelter to get a new kitty because I'd recently have to move away from my two cats. But instead I met Kali and Pan, a pair bonded duo. And Kali (in the video) was so shy and withdrawn that it just tugged at my heart. The staff were absolutely amazing and helped me get them home same day! The first 3 days she was at home with me she barely left my closet. And now she's running around and playing like a kitten. Pan is as lovable as ever, and still jumps to Kali when there's any sudden noise to protect her.

They are accepting donations of towels and blankets. I stopped by because we all need to do our part to help. I was blessed to get a puppy a coupleof months ago. I know my new puppy is lucky not all are as lucky as her. So, I wanted to contribute.

Back in July of 2021 I was away in Mexico and my dog ran away while he was being cared for by my fiancés brother. When I got back I found out what had happened and I called the shelter and they informed me it would be a few hundred dollars to get him back and I explained I couldn’t afford that and that I needed time. I also live in San Diego and worked full time which made everything much more difficult. The woman I spoke to at the shelter was so incredibly rude and unsympathetic. She didn’t try to be understanding and as I continuously explained I was away and I couldn’t afford to get him back, she made it clear she didn’t care. Her name was Office Levin. The shelter informed me I either came up with the money or he would be adopted within two days-and so he was. I am completely devastated and cannot begin to explain the anxiety and depression this has caused me. If anyone has any information on Tyrion-my Pembroke Welsh Corgi who was born on July 11, 2017 please reach out to me.
