Description We at SWFHR are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of horses in our local Florida community. Every day, we work towards our mission and strive to educate and support our community, take action when necessary, and promote responsible horse ownership to put an end to equine neglect and abuse in southwest Florida. We would be delighted to offer you a guided tour of our facility, but please note that we do not accept walk-ins at this time. Reservations are mandatory and can be made either through our website or by calling 239.567.4111. We kindly request a minimum donation of just $10.00 per adult (some exceptions may apply).

Amazing Crew!!! I reached out to this rescue for med supplies and within 3 hours of the first call they had me loaded up with everything we needed! Last night my family slept well rested for the first night in a week thanks to this team pulling together and helping us with the things we needed for our horse. True dedication to those in need 🙏🏼

Wonderful tour of a great rescue ranch. We received a very fun and touching tour with all the personal stories of each horse and how they got to rescue. Our guide Jeannie was very informative and you could tell how much she loved the horses. The end of the tour featured a meet and greet with their littlest resident, Kahlua the mini horse. I highly recommend this tour and please support this rescue if you can! All the horses were beautiful and very well taken care of. Thank you for all you do SWFL Horse Rescue!

SWFL Horse Rescue is one of the best and most caring rescues out there. You hear a lot of hype with some rescues but Tina and Matt are very genuine and will do anything for these horses. ❤️

Went for a tour today and expressed an interest in adopting one of their rescue horses. I was very impressed with the pride of ownership and the cleanliness of the facility. Clearly they have taken rescue to the next level and run very efficiently. All those involved in the care and rehabilitation of these horses are amazing. Kudos to the love and dedication they give to those that deserve a life without abuse and neglect. A requirement to adopt is donating your time to care for the horses which I did for almost 4 months. They sent him away for training, never stated that I was approved to adopt and never communicated his progress at the trainer either. I was told that I should visit him at the trainer which I did a few times. She asked if I was approved and if I was adopting him and I told her no one has specifically told me if my application was approved. I was very disappointed and felt that communication is an effective tool for successful adoptions and if they improve that they could excel in the end by having more placements and a lot less confusion. I felt as though I had to dig for any information and finally walked away.

This horse rescue is incredible! Everything is so clean and well cared for! The horses have plenty of room to roam around. Each horse is cared for specifically with what each horse individually needs to be healthy and happy. Eunice provides an excellent tour! This place is full of love!
