Dr. Cannon is the best veterinarian! I took my limping dog to her and she was incredible. She spent several minutes acquainting herself with my dog to make sure my dog felt comfortable. Then, she examined my dog very gently and found some things to discuss with me. She explained the potential problems with my dog both very technically, and in layman’s terms. You can tell, she is very smart!!! She then laid out my options very honestly and gave me time to decide what I thought was best for my dog. I felt completely cared for and trust her professional opinion completely. I am so happy that I found an honest veterinarian that makes me and my dog so comfortable. If you have any concern about your furry friend, please go see her! She made me feel much better about my dog’s diagnosis, and most importantly, made my dog feel better!!

Waited for 45 minutes past my appointment for a vet to come see my dog. They came unprepared & hadn’t read his file. Extremely unprofessional staff. Not telling me how late I had to anticipate seeing the vet, my 14 yr old pet shaking with fear. After I complained dr. Luvac came in the roof to terrorize me & reject my 14year old dog! I only had a blood test to do at this office. This place is run down, inconsiderate of people’s time and work obligations. Dr Frank Lavac, best to care for animals, not have power trip and cover up for your mismanagement of this clinic.

Thank you, Dr. Lavac, and your entire staff, too; including, your associates, Dr. Cannon, Dr. Castro, and Dr. Baron, for doing such a great job; that is, providing great, professional service with a smile. On each and every visit, I am treated with kindness, respect and friendliness. In addition, in a timely manner, too. Each staff member is extremely diligent about their duties. As well, they always exemplify a tremendous amount of thoughtfulness. All of your associates, and support staff, are top-notch. They go the extra mile to always to provide me with not only the necessary care my pet needs, but also, to be so encouraging in the process. In essence, I feel strongly to have lucked out, over the years, in finding such an excellent veterinarian office taking care of me (us). Thank you!

My beloved pigeon, Clover, died on Thanksgiving Day, 2017. I hoped a full lifespan of at least 20+ years, but I am thankful for the two, amazing, but short years that she shared with me. I loved that pigeon in the same way that Nikola Tesla described his love for his pigeon. I was speaking to my relief officer about Clover when my wife called me at 6:31 AM. "Clover died!" She wailed... I think the blood must have drained from my face because my coworker gave me an odd look. Death is always terrible for the living, but life goes on and we have to take care of business. I wanted to get a necropsy (an animal autopsy) for Clovey because there didn't seem to be any reason for her to die. I placed her body into a box in the fridge, and I began calling veterinary clinics and hospitals. It wasn't easy to find an aviary specialist on Thanksgiving Day, so I left messages everywhere. The first to return my call was VCA Wilshire Animal Hospital. They scheduled a necropsy with me on that day. I delivered Clovey's body right away. I received a call from the director, Frank Lavac, DVM - who is also an aviary specialist - to talk to me about the procedure, and to discuss the follow-up. . The doctor mentioned that the initial findings showed that she was very healthy and showed indication of trauma, and that from all initial findings there was no reason that she should have died. Too much to go into, but pet guardians often feel like no one takes them seriously when it comes to grieving. The doctor seemed very empathetic and concerned for my well being. The staff also seemed kind and understanding when I came to pick up her remains. Pax tibi, pulcher columbae...

I love VCA Wilshire, I've been going here for a very long time. They took a picture of my cat and text it to me, which I thought was cool. The vets here are very professional, and they don't try and sell you too many things, although the stuff they do sell you is always very useful, at least to me. We all have our own experiences.

Lost my dogs sample. Never informed me and constantly makes excuses. This office is always mishandling things and negligent. Bring your animals somewhere else that actually is on top of it and cares.
