I volunteer here and found it to be welcoming, clean and organized. The kitchen was very well equipped with a great chef who was very knowledgeable of what we needed to prepare for over 80 guests. Plenty of food and snacks on hand for guests. I enjoyed my experience helping with dinner! Guests were able to enjoy a variety of food and come back for seconds. Definitely a great place for volunteering to give back to the community.

We had a wonderful time volunteering at The Hoboken Shelter, and really enjoyed serving the many brothers and sisters who were living in poverty. We prayed with them, laughed with them and really got to know them. I love the Hoboken shelter, truly a blessing to the city of Hoboken.

Excellent place serving the unhoused in Hoboken. Freshly prepared meals served daily and shelter for those in need.

Do not work here if they offer a position. Everything is disorganized and outdated. You are expected to literally clean up after the messes the people in charge leave behind and they do not respect your time. They will make you work past your hours, while trying to avoid paying overtime as much as possible, and when something inevitably falls apart, they will place the blame on you. They do not bother to improve their work quality or their equipment and the director is the most controlling person you will ever meet, it must be their way or nothing. They will not hesitate to hang your supposed mistakes over your head and bring them up any time they want. They are not afraid to kick you while you are down, ironic when their whole mission is to help people who are down. I repeat, do NOT work here. You will be left stressed and unfulfilled. Save yourself the trouble and find a non-profit that actually cares.

A Sanctuary that encourages and tends to those caught in the storms of the Human Experience; cheers on Forward Motion when everything has fallen away; Mostly, reminds me that, To Good People HOPE IS OUR GRAVITY.
