Major is almost 15 and I've been with them for about two years? They've been great with him, it's so much more affordable than most vets and they're so kind and understanding. I highly recommend going here and getting their plan for you pet. It saves you so much in the long run.

I have taken my pets to Banfield for more than 10 years. I have used their pet wellness program just as long. But, I won't be continuing. When my cat got sick, they could not see her for a week. When I told them she was a Wellness member the response was "you're only saving the cost of an office visit" and recommended a 24 hour emergency vet that charged almost $200 dollars just to look at your pet. I ended up spending $250 at another vet who was graciously available and absolutely wonderful in the care of my pet. When I tried to cancel my membership, I was told I would have to pay almost $400 to void the contract, even though my monthly payments up to the end of the contract amounts to $270. Apparently, they are only good for routine wellness, and you are screwed if your pet gets sick and the response from customer service lacks any kind of empathy.

UPDATED REVIEW: Unfortunately, the service has gone downhill since my last review. None of the amazing doctors are there anymore (probably for good reason). There are wait-lists for procedures, they no longer accommodate patients for appointments, and the leadership staff are extremely rude, unsympathetic, and unaccommodating. The place is overcharging by forcing patients to buy cheap mass-produced (supposedly necessary) after-care items for 4 times the price. The wellness plans don't get you much of a discount anymore as you still end up paying thousands for illness and preventative care. This is very disappointing, considering I've been a client for over 10 years. I will not be renewing my plan there. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The hospital deserves 5 stars simply for the fact that Dr. Adel Benedek works there. I've known her for 8 years now and she is one of the best doctors out there. Not only has she consistently been extremely accommodating with my cats (taking them in at last minute's notice during emergencies) but recently, she was able to perform cystocentesis on one of my overweight cats, something other vets could not do. She also offers more natural alternatives in terms of supplements and preventative care, which is rare in today's world of mainstream veterinary medicine. It is also clear that her experience has taught her to be very keen on proper diagnosis and treatment something that makes her a great doctor. I hope the hospital doesn't lose her because if she ever leaves, I can't say I'll be coming back there, even though all the staff there are extremely nice and very helpful, it's just hard to find a good doctor for your pet without having to drive a distance.
