Amazing place to volunteer and work at, Ken and Lisa are amazing to work with and be around, gabby is a great volunteer supervisor as well, she will teach you what you need to know and has lots of patience to deal with it. The horses are an absolute amazing plus, they are so funny to watch run around and play, the blind Belgian is an absolute sweetheart as well. They rescue and rehabilitate any horse they can and make sure they are safe and ready for adoption and even check in with the new owners to make sure they are doing good and if they need anything. 10 out of 10 would recommend working or adopt from them.
I am so thankful to have found this amazing place. We go volunteer as often as we can and the bonus is that you get to love on and talk to all the horses while you’re there. I went there with zero experience with horses and have learned so much. Thankfully Lisa has lots of patience. I just wish I could go every day. I recommend everyone come take a tour and talk to Ken and Lisa. Learn about their mission and the million ways you can help. I promise it’s worth it!
Lisa responded to my need to surrender my 27y/o horse with Cushings. She drove 6+ hours each way to pick him up. My boy was with me 23 years and on a fixed income I could no longer keep up with his care. The team has already gotten started on all the things he needs to get healthier. 5 stars is not enough for this rescue I give them a 10/10. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lisa had us come out to work on/float a few of the horses teeth. We were super impressed with the quality of care that they provide to these horses. They truly have the best interest of each horse as top priority and genuinely put their hearts into them!
My girlfriend adopted Indi (formally Montana) in October as a buddy for her horse. I ended up stealing him from her and now he's my trail riding buddy, and the absolute best boy 🥺 I wanted to raise my own boy and had one in mind. Lisa and I talked and she offered for me to go meet him (Haus) and his brother (Little Joe). I ended up choosing Little Joe because of our bond when we met and it has been the BEST decision ever. Not only is this place veteran owned and operated, they rescue horses that are in dire need to be saved, get them back to proper health no matter the cost, and really place them in the best fitting and loving homes. I get so excited to share things about the boys to Lisa because I'm thankful for everything she and the volunteers have done. Without them, I wouldn't have the two best paint boys in the world 💜
We just adopted 2 horses from Lisa. She is an amazing human and cares for these horses to her core. What an amazing rescue she has and puts so much into this. We were so honored to meet her, her staff and take a tour of the ranch, these horses are living their best lives with her!
