It has been a little over 9 months since we adopted our dog from here and it's been the best 9 months of my life. This little dude has brought the most joy and love into my life that I have ever felt. I found him on Petfinder and after filling out an adoption form we were invited to go meet our pup. Upon arrival, he was the only dog in the shelter, which wasn't barking; in the meet & greet room he was very skittish and afraid of the new faces in the room. He would hide behind the armchair, or cuddle himself into Kendra's arms. Our hearts were stolen and we agreed to take him home. While I was still filling out the adoption papers, he must have sensed what was happening and started joyfully jumping up on my legs begging for pets, then ended up getting the zoomies at a rest stop on our way home. Being my first ever shelter dog, he had a few issues we had to work through. Mainly building confidence and counter conditioning. Even during our journey of dealing with his behavioral issues, he has shown extreme gratefulness to be here with us and work on bettering himself. Over time we picked up agility and scent work. He's been giving his 100 in everything he does, And he makes the best snugglebug ever. I wouldn't trade him for anything. I don't think I will ever look back at buying puppies, or adopting them. Adult and elder dogs have so much to offer, I wish I gave them a chance much sooner. Thank you so much to Venango County Humane Society for bringing this bundle of fluff into our lives đŸ„° *Dog's name not mentioned for privacy reasons*

Venango County Humane Society is nothing more than a business out to make money. I’ve had less stringent interviews from breeders selling pure bred pets than this place. This morning, a kitten was dumped off in front of my house on Route 322. When we called about the situation, we were given a rude, “We aren’t taking any cats at this time.” Click. So what am I supposed to do now? I have 4 cats in my house. I cannot home another one. Do I put it back out by the road and check every so often until I can scoop it’s carcass up with a shovel and dispose of it? It wouldn’t even bother me so much had we not adopted cats from this place in the past. My suggestion is if you are looking to adopt a pet or are in a situation like ours, to call Precious Paws.

Great staff, super friendly and helpful with adopting. They currently have a ton of adoptables so check them out if you're looking for a new family member! We went home with the cutest all white kitten.

I adopted Diesel yesterday and I couldn’t be more pleased. He did well on the meet and greet with my older dog Reuben and with me. He even tolerated our mean cat when I got him home. That’s another plus. He rides well in the car, is house broken, and I found he already knows basic commands. Unlike some of the other reviews I didn’t notice any strong odors, the staff was knowledgeable and I was able to take him home same day. I drove 2 hours and I would do it again. I had a very good experience here.

Wow! This place takes pet care very seriously. They won't hand over their animals to just anyone and they require a good amount of documentation before you are able to look at dogs. I really like that because it shows how much they care for each animal. A very good place indeed!

We adopted our Willy just last week. He stole our hearts in the meet and greet minutes into it! I found him on the sight a little while after our sweet Enzo got hit by a car. It was devastating! We wanted to adopt a grown cat that needed a home in honor of our sweet boy and sure enough, we did!! The work the humane society staff put in and the support was tremendous! Wonderful people, you’re new family addition will be sent home with you in excellent condition and very healthy!! Don’t hesitate! Adopt today! I promise it’ll make a huge difference!! Every animal deserves a loving home and family and you could be the only one that will give said animal his/her second chance!!
