We've been supporting TSR for years and finally had the opportunity to adopt a Sheltie. The foster home was the best, and our Sheltie came to us happy and healthy. Please, as you engage TSR, read the website carefully. They are very clear about their rules, and even though we've been in the breed for 30+ years we expected the process required and were happy to work with them.

They denied me a dog. Since I had a dog in the past they want records which are in storage. And they require a Fence which my property can't be fenced because there is no way to close it off, and it is an additional expense. This forces me to buy from the breeder. Also the governor's closure preventing me from adopting a dog especially a sheltie. I like this breed, Since I had a sheltie recently which just passed away in May of 2020, I would like to get another one.

Called this place when my friend's dog went missing as I was asking shelters/rescues if someone had brought in her dog. Lady on the phone told me they would not help because it was not a sheepdog and that she would call the police if the dog came into her rescue. Very rude and unprofessional, unsure how this place is considered a rescue when this is their view on missing dogs.

I understand they have to be particular. But to deny someone that raised two Shelties from puppies that lived to be 11 and 13 years of age that has impeccable vet references is ridiculous.

I called to get more info. I hate when people answer the phone and all she said was. “Hello” she dident seem happy to be there then she proceeded to tell me that all the info is on line which I’m aware of but you can’t always trust the info online. She was just rude and not ver professional.
